The finale of Tokyo Revengers Season 2 came with a teaser trailer and announcement for Season 3.

Season 2 of Tokyo Revengers just came to an end. It was a notably short season in comparison with Season 1, but full of great material. However, Liden Films is wasting no time putting out the official announcement for Season 3 in the wake of the Season 2 finale. A brief clip of the announcement is already racking up hundreds of thousands of views across social media. So what’s coming in Season 3? Fans are excited about a major character and arc that are seen in the teaser. Let’s talk about Season 3 of Tokyo Revengers.

Tokyo Revengers Season 3

The short fifteen-second teaser and announcement for Tokyo Revengers Season 3 hit the internet recently. It’s entirely in Japanese at the moment. So for English viewers, the announcement is purely visual. Yet, it’s exciting, nonetheless.

Not too much can be seen in the teaser but it’s safe to say that the upcoming season is still in the very early stages of production. Fans likely won’t get a longer trailer or more concrete release window announcement until late 2023 or early 2024. The gap between Seasons 1 and 2 was more than two years. Let’s hope that a Season 3 announcement so soon after the last finale is a good sign that the wait won’t be so long this time around.

Tokyo Revengers recently became one of the titles in the Disney+ anime catalog. This is a rare sight for such a successful anime in an industry largely dominated by the US anime streaming service Crunchyroll. As of right now, it still appears as if the popular show will continue to air new seasons with Disney.

The Tenjiku Arc

Season 3 of Tokyo Revengers will be getting into the Tenjiku Arc. This arc will be heavily showing Izana, the former boss of the Tenjiku gang and a major character in this story. It’s an extremely long arc, the longest arc in the manga as it covers 7 whole volumes by itself. Season 2 of the show only covers 3 volumes, 9 through 12, across its 13 episodes.

So the question becomes whether or not Season 3 will cover the entirety of the Tenjiku Arc or if the story is long enough to stretch across more than one season. As of right now, that remains unclear. There will likely be more answers from the studio or creator Ken Wakui as the premiere approaches.
