‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Caterina Scorsone Shares Heartbreaking Tragedy
Grey’s Anatomy star Caterina Scorsone has revealed some heartbreaking news to her fans. There was a fire at her home, and she lost something she will never be able to replace.

Grey’s Anatomy star announces house burns down
Grey’s Anatomy star Caterina Scorsone suffered a great tragedy when her house burned down. The good news is that Caterina and her family made it out of the some alive. However, this was a tragedy that was even worse than a lost house and possessions.
Caterina announced that the house fire was a couple of months ago and she revealed what happened. She said that she was getting her kids ready for bed and they were finishing up bath time when smoke began to seep up through the grout around the bathtub itself. Caterina said she looked into the hall and saw black smoke billowing in the house.
She said the first thing she had to do was get her three children out of the house and they got out with just the shoes on their feet, and for that she is grateful. However, sadly, there was one thing she couldn’t save in the fire.
“Heartbreakingly, we lost all four of our pets,” Caterina said. “We are still sitting with that loss, but we are lucky we got to love them at all.”
Caterina Scorsone on sharing her story
Caterina went on to say that she wasn’t wanting to talk about the fire or her loss. She wanted to make a statement about the community, and she thanked the firefighters, investigators, her neighbor, her sister, the parents at her kids’ school, and her team. She then posted some photos to honor the pets she lost in the fire.
The comments on her Instagram post had a lot of kind words for the Grey’s Anatomy star.
Chris Cormack plays Link Lincoln on Grey’s Anatomy and he responded that he hopes he never goes through anything like this, but said that her example of grace shows what to do if it does happen. He finished by sending love to her and her family.
Jake Borelli plays Dr. Levi Schmitt on the show and said that Caterina is an “incredible human” and he sent all the love he had to her and her family.
“You are such an incredible human. I’m so sorry you went thru all this but I am so grateful you exist in the world and sending you and your fam all the ❤️” wrote Emily Hampshire, the Schitt’s Creek star.
