After leaving Netflix, Schitt’s Creek will reportedly move to Hulu. The streaming platform issued a press release announcing they will host the show starting October 3.

Netflix maintains international rights to Schitt’s Creek through at least May 2026. There will be plenty of time for subscribers in other countries to watch the series a few more times.

Why is the series moving to Hulu?

Television shows trade hands on streaming platforms for a variety of different reasons. But What’s On Netflix reports that money was largely a factor in this situation. Hulu will get exclusive streaming rights to Schitt’s Creek for two years. After that, Paramount+ will get a turn in year three of the contract.

Netflix subscribers are sad to be losing the show but are glad that it will be accessible on other platforms. The popular Canadian sitcom isn’t disappearing for good.

But knowing the Rose family, there’s always room for more shenanigans. Absolutely anything could happen in the future.
