‘Gold Rush: White Water’ Officially Announces Return Date
Discovery Channel is finally bringing backĀ Gold Rush: White Water to complete its current season. While there has been no announcement from the network itself,Ā White Water producer Tim Dalby announced the official return date so fans will know when it is returning.
Here is when the hit reality show will return and what fans can expect.
When isĀ Gold Rush: White Water returning to Discovery?
Discovery Channel angered fans by takingĀ Gold Rush: White Water off the air after only airing half its season. The network also did it without any warning, not even telling producer Tim Dalby. When the producer let the fans know himself, he said the network wanted to hold off on the rest of the season until the new financial year.
It looks like that time has finally arrived, as Tim took to Facebook and revealed that the show was finally coming back.
In his post, Tim wrote that “spring has sprung (kinda)” and that the show would return with its “second block” of Season 6 on April 14. He also announced that the show would air in a later timeslot than before, as it will now air at 10/9c on Discover, immediately following the new season ofĀ Parker’s Trail.
The new season ofĀ Parker’s Trail will see Parker Schnabel head to South America. He will visit Peru and see the Madre Di Dios, Peruās La Rinconada, and Bolivia, where his goal is to find $100 million in gold. The show premieres on April 7, so the new season ofĀ White Water will start one week after that.
Tim also mentioned that there were nine more episodes in the season and they were the best of the entire batch this year. He said these episodes will be an “absolute rollercoaster of a watch.”
What happened with the Gold Rush spinoff anyway?
Gold Rush: White Water producer Tim Dalby was as angry as any fan who had to watch as the show was put on hold in the middle of the season. In a Facebook post after the decision, Tim wrote that āthe series has been rating well again and this rather short-sighted move will obviously harm that.ā He also called himself a “reluctant messenger,” in delivering the message.
Instead of following the regularĀ Gold Rush, which is still one of the highest-rated shows onĀ Discovery Channel, it will followĀ Parker’s Trail, which is a little more niche with its fanbase. From the sound of it, Discovery was just trying to save money by pushing off expenses to the new fiscal year but only angered fans by doing so.

super excited my guys are back. I was really ready to cancel my discovery channel. can’t wait to see. peace and blessings šā¤ļø
absolutely happy that Gold Rush White Water is returning for the rest of the season. Such a janky thing to do to it’s fan base. kinda like being laid off and not being told about it till the next week. Happy all the same for its return.
Corporate greed at its finest.
Itās everywhere now š in all aspects of life – hope the future generations will do better.
Looking forward to getting the band back together.
Just can’t wait April 14!
So glad the network wised up and is releasing nine more episodes! I personally donāt care for anything Parker does but glad his new program is the lead in for White Water. I donāt think White Water had lost many (if any) viewers and White Water will certainly pick up additional viewers because of Parkerās Trail.

itās all about overcoming whatever the hell plays out on the fly , as long as itās legitimate and not all face makeup and hollywood tender . and I havenāt been offended once !
Thereās so many shows on discovery I would dump before ever getting rid of or delaying any of the gold rush shows. Gold Rush Whitewater is BY FAR better than any of the other gold rush series. The others are just driving heavy equipment around, except Parkerās Trail, while Whitewater, is nonstop dangerous exhilarating excitement every second that keeps you riveted to your seat wondering if someone is going to be crushed, fall from dizzying heights, drown or be attacked by a bear while working to find that next hidden pocket of gold nuggets. No comparison to the other gold rush shows, not even close, even though I do love them all. If you can just figure out how to keep them diving and digging for a year round show! Now, whereās the new season 8!
Series 7 of Gold Rush White Water on Discovery Plus is in fact the last 9 episodes of series 6 on Discovery channel.
So is there a series 7 or not?
I do feel that Iāve been ripped off by Discovery Plus for advertising Gold Rush White Water series 7 which is actually series 6 episodes 9-17
