Wendy Williams’ New Venture Flops Before Launch?
Wendy Williams had a new venture in the works, but it flopped before launch. This comes amid concerns about her drinking. The former talk show host reportedly told her friends that she canceled this new project. Keep on reading to learn more.
Wendy Williams celebrates on St. Patrick’s Day
St. Patrick’s Day was a huge celebration for New Yorkers. It was also a big occasion for Wendy Williams. She was spotted “bar-hopping” and “drinking cosmos” with a group of random people she met that night. The sighting came just months after she left a Malibu rehab for alcoholism.
Sources told Page Six that Wendy wanted to drink to “celebrate” her “new lease on life.” She feels it’s time to have alcohol again. The former daytime diva loved interacting with her fans at the different venues. She’s “celebrating the new things in her life,” such as her podcast and a reality series.
“Wendy has spent most of her life in the public eye, and when is out she likes to acknowledge her fans,” Shawn Zanotti told Page Six on Friday. “She is happy and wanted to celebrate that she has a new lease on life.”
Wendy Williams looked “lonely” during the holiday. She went to Fresco by Scotto, where she had many drinks. The television personality told a group of people that she was there to “get drunk.” Many of the patrons cheered her on.
Wendy made it clear that she was drinking and wasn’t intending on hiding it anymore. The night-long event included dinner. Wendy and her new friends went to a gay bar and a cocktail lounge. She introduced herself to the doorman as Wendy Williams from her canceled talk show.
Her new podcast is now canceled
Wendy Williams has nothing to celebrate now. She allegedly told her friends that she canceled her new podcast upon arrival. It’s been in the works for several months. An insider confirmed to The U.S. Sun that she told her friends “there is no podcast.”
“It’s so strange, because she was saying there is no podcast, but is also telling people she’s going to return to TV,” the source explained. “It’s hard to figure out what is based in reality.”
Wendy Williams wants to make a return to television. She previously shared that she would like to be a panelist on The View. There are also rumors that she’s working on her own reality show, where she could share the side of her story.
The Wendy Experience podcast was to launch in July 2022, but the “Read More” section now leads to a link that reads the “account is suspended.” In November 2022, she teased her new project and said it would launch “in the next few weeks.” Wendy said it would come out in a few weeks and it never did. It’s unclear where her future lies.
