AMC’s Sentai Filmworks Snags A Major Anime Deal
AMC’s Sentai Filmworks has bagged a major anime deal. The partnership and distribution agreement is between Sentai Filmworks and Japan’s Mainichi Broadcasting System (MBS). According to this new deal, AMC’s anime-focused streaming service HIDIVE will get to distribute part of MBS’ future programming line-up. However, HIDIVE can only distribute the content in markets outside of Asia. Keep reading to find out the details.
MBS’ Future Content Will Simulcast On Sentai Filmworks’ HIDIVE
This is Sentai’s largest-ever agreement for anime content. It also encompasses MBS’ slate based on a collection of wildly popular manga as well as light novel titles. All of the future anime content will be simulcast exclusively on HIDIVE.

As per Variety, fans can watch the content via a paid subscription or through a premium Amazon Prime subscription. Subscribers can watch the same content on The Roku Channel as well.
How Many Episodes Will From Villainess To Savior Have?
As revealed in the announcement by MBS and Sentai, the anime series The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess To Savior, will be a part of the content line-up. The upcoming anime series is a hit fantasy light novel by Tenichi and will have 12 episodes in total. Awards received by the manga series include the 1st Iris NEO Fantasy Award and Comic Cmoa E-Comic Award 2022.

Scheduled to premiere in July 2023, the anime series is directed by Norio Nitta, animated by OLM, Inc., and written by Deko Akao. Additional shows slated to air in Winter 2023 include Endo And Kobayashi Live! The Latest On Tsundere Villainess Lieselotte. This title was announced by HIDIVE at Anime NYC last November. Additionally, more titles will be announced in the future.

MBS has been co-producing and broadcasting high-quality anime content for more than 50 years. It has been the TV home to numerous globally hit franchises such as Fullmetal Alchemist, Attack On Titan, and Jujutsu Kaisen. Apart from these and several other popular anime series, MBS has also co-produced Akira which is no doubt one of the highly influential anime movies of all time.
