Amy Halterman Used Pregnancy As An Excuse To Eat Unhealthily
Being a mom with two kids has been overwhelming for Amy Halterman. However, it is important for her to focus on her weight to stay healthy for years to come. Yet, Amy had been ignoring her weight and suggestions from her doctor. She even used her pregnancy as an excuse to eat unhealthily. No doubt, she managed to gain weight after her pregnancy.
In the upcoming episode titled Forbidden Fruit, Amy talks about the stress of motherhood. She also visits Dr. Charles Procter for her first check-up after giving birth to Glenn. It was evident that the TLC star’s doctor wasn’t happy with how her weight loss journey is going. It seems she didn’t lose a single pound and even gained a few more after welcoming her second son.
Amy Halterman Weighed 275 Pounds Before Her Pregnancy
Even though Amy Halterman has claimed that her children keep her busy, rarely giving her enough time to eat, she has gained instead of losing weight.
In the sneak peek for 1000-Lb. Sisters Season 4 Episode 8, Amy was seen attending the appointment she scheduled with Dr. Procter via video call. Before taking up the topic of Amy’s diet plans, the doctor wanted to check if she had gained or lost weight.
He said, “When we saw you for our last kind of real appointment before your first pregnancy, you had lost down to 275 pounds.”
The 51-year-old further asked Amy if she had a scale in her house to which she said yes. Dr. Procter said, “Let’s get you on the scale.”
Amy Halterman Wants Dr. Procter To Cut Her Some Slack
Amy Halterman clearly looked nervous before she stepped on the scale. In her confessional, she said, “I don’t know how much I lost or how much I gained, but I just hope Dr. Procter is not mad at me regardless of whatever.”
The TLC star also claimed that having two beautiful boys and taking care of their daily needs isn’t an easy task. She wanted the doctor to cut her some slack even if she gained some pounds. As Amy stepped on the scale, it measured 281 pounds. Dr. Procter sounded upset as he read the numbers and said, “281, okay.”
He reiterated that the last time Amy visited him, she was 275 pounds. However, he did admire that after two pregnancies, she didn’t gain a lot of weight. So, while he wasn’t happy with Amy Halterman gaining weight, he was glad that it was just 6 pounds.
