Ginger Zee Braves Freezing Cold On ‘GMA’ Segment
Ginger Zee braved the freezing cold on a recent Good Morning America segment. She went without her scarf, hat, and gloves as she warned viewers about the city’s first big snowstorm. Keep on reading to learn more.
GMA meteorologist doesn’t bundle up
On Monday’s broadcast of GMA, Ginger Zee didn’t bundle up for the occasion. The 42-year-old meteorologist wore just her purple peacoat as she reported the weather in New York City. Even though it was freezing cold, she felt just fine. Ginger didn’t need a scarf, hat, or gloves to keep her warm.
She warned Good Morning America viewers about the severe snowstorm hitting New York City on Tuesday. It’s the first big storm of the season for New Yorkers. Ginger talked about the rapidly falling snow and strong winds. GMA co-anchor Robin Roberts started the segment from inside the NYC studios.
“Let’s bring in Ginger with the forecast and what has been a rare event this winter, snow actually in the northeast, good morning Ginge,” she said.
Ginger Zee presented the report in Times Square. She wore a bright purple coat with a matching blouse underneath. The Dancing with the Stars alum didn’t need anything else. Some fans think she should’ve worn leather gloves or a knit scarf to keep her warm.
“Remember in New York City, we’ve only had point four inches of snow the entire season Robin, good morning to you” Ginger Zee started. “We are going to get snow tonight and as are so many people that have been in this ridiculously mild winter.”

Ginger Zee warns viewers about wild weather
The GMA reporter continued with her segment. She brought it back to the wild weather hitting the northeast from Monday night into Tuesday. New York City finally got its first snowfall last night. Ginger also talked about the storm that’s hit other parts of the northeast, including New Jersey.
Winter is finally here. It’s been a mild one for New England. Some would say it doesn’t feel like winter. Ginger Zee seemed happy about winter finally coming to the northeast. She shared where the storm could travel and progress.

“As it moves here tonight, it will start with this heavy burst of snow really, from say northern New Jersey up through Manhattan into the suburbs, and here’s how it’s gonna go…” Ginger Zee continued. “That line is gonna be quickly cut off so Princeton, New Jersey could get very little and then you could have something like Westchester getting heavy, three to five inches of snow, right in the middle you could have some sleet mixing in as well, but hey, a little winter for ya!”
She shared her segment on Instagram about the “super dynamic week ahead.” There will be a brief warmup with more precipitation on the way for the end of the week. Some parts of the northeast may get more snow.
