‘American Idol’ Season 21: Meet Contestant Caroline Kole
American Idol Season 21’s second round of auditions had viewers hooked on to their screens. The latest episode aired on February 26, 2023, and fans got to see several talented singers bag the golden ticket to Hollywood. One such contestant who managed to impress the judges is Caroline Kole. However, this isn’t her first appearance in a singing reality show. Keep reading to find out the details.
Caroline Kole Previously Appeared On NBC’s Songland
Born in July 1997, Caroline is a singer, guitarist, and songwriter who previously appeared on NBC’s Songland perMeaww. Her first stage name was Suite Caroline. The 25-year-old was born in Houston, Texas. However, her roots are in Tampa Bay, Florida. She currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee. Caroline Kole started her music career when she was 10 years old. By the time she was 14 years old, she started playing at the Country Music Association.

In 2013, she also released her first EP with five tracks and also went on a two-year international tour with Reba McEntire. The aspiring singer opened up about her appearance on American Idol. She said, “I watched the show when I was super little, and my very first concert was Kelly Clarkson at Ruth Eckerd Hall. I love, love, love the Clearwater Marine Aquarium- the CMA. Actually, it took me a while to get used to that when I came to Nashville because the CMA is the Country Music Association.”
Caroline Kole Bags The Golden Ticket To Hollywood
The rising star bagged a golden ticket to Hollywood and managed to impress the judges and especially Katy Perry. Caroline Kole performed the song Firework by Katy Perry and although she messed up slightly initially, she got three yeses from the judges.

For her appearance on NBC’s Songland, she failed to impress the judges. However, for American Idol, she came fully prepared and grabbed that golden ticket. She also received praise from fans on social media for her superb performance as seen in this YouTube video.
Katy Perry Feels Caroline Can Make It To The Top 20
As the audition started for Caroline Kole, she shared some details about herself while also revealing that she is a social media manager. While she explained what she does for a living, Luke Bryan asked, “Can she sing Katy?”
As she started performing Katy Perry’s song, the OG singer chimed in, “Don’t sing it better than me girl.”

Other judges too thought she was a bit off when she started singing. However, the aspiring singer soon picked up the pace and the judges loved when she picked the chorus. Not just that, Katy even started singing with Caroline assuring her that she could easily reach the Top 20 position on American Idol.
