Lauren Bushnell Lane Details Overcoming Postpartum Depression
Lauren Bushnell Lane from The Bachelor is sharing her journey and recovery dealing with postpartum depression. Bushnell has been open with her life, sharing pictures on her Instagram of her children and her life with her husband Chris Lane. She was engaged to Ben Higgins after his season but it didn’t work out for them.
She met Chris Lane at Stagecoach and knew he was the one. On Instagram, Lauren shared a picture of her husband with a buzzcut. She joked that looking at his haircut made her want baby number three. It’s not the first time she’s gushed about how hot her husband is to the masses.
Lauren Bushnell Lane Shared Her Journey With PPD
Lauren Bushnell Lane and Chris had two babies’ really close together. Chris shared with People that the couple stayed tired all the time with sons Baker and Dutton. With two boys though, he thinks Lauren would really love a girl. He said they would try again most likely, but he noted, “I pray that the good Lord above does not allow that to happen anytime soon.”
The couple said when they only had Dutton that he was a maniac and they couldn’t imagine how tired they’d be with two. Now, thinking about three, it would be triple the exhaustion. In the photo below they captured the first time the two boys met in a sweet moment. Chris put Dutton on the bed with Lauren so she could hold them both. Chris said that it was an adjustment for their older son being so young in the first days after bringing Baker home.
While pregnant with her second boy Baker, Lauren was diagnosed with marginal cord insertion. According to US Weekly, this is when the umbilical cord attaches to the edge of the placenta instead of where it should in the middle. She was in the hospital and was a lot sicker at the beginning of her pregnancy than she’d been with Dutton. Lauren had been open after having Dutton that she suffered from postpartum depression.
She Feels Much Better Now
During a Q&A, Lauren Bushnell Lane was asked about having postpartum depression after having Baker. She’d been open about having it after giving birth to Dutton according to Bachelor Nation. She said, “I don’t want any moms out there to feel alone! I just started Zoloft and feel so much better!”
She said she’d started to feel very depressed. Lane doesn’t think the medication will be a permanent thing, but for now, it’s helping. What do you think about a third baby for Chris and Lauren?
