‘Stranger Things’ Where Will Argyle Fit In On Season 5?
Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 5 filming will soon commence and fans wonder whether the fun character Argyle is a part of the upcoming season. As confirmed by actor Noah Schnapp, the cast will start filming for the fifth and final season in May 2023. This means fans will have to wait at least until early 2024 to watch the story come to an end. So, will Argyle fit anywhere in the final storyline? Keep reading to find out the details.
Who Is Argyle In Netflix’s Stranger Things?
Argyle, portrayed by Eduardo Franco, is a critical character in the Netflix series. He was introduced in Season 4 and is the best friend of Jonathan Byers, portrayed by Charlie Heaton. The cool stoner friend works as a deliveryman for surfer boy pizza in Lenora Hills, California. More so, the happy-go-lucky character is often seen helping Jonathan with his relationship with Nancy Wheeler. Not just that, he even rescued his friend after Jonathan’s house was attacked by military soldiers.

He aided Will, Mike, and Jonathan in their cross-country journey to save Eleven and bring her back to Hawkins, Indiana. Furthermore, Argyle helped Eleven by creating a sensory deprivation tank to aid the protagonists’ fight with Vecna.
Stranger Things Season 4 Introduced New Characters
Even though Season 4 was stressful for the primary protagonists of the show, Argyle’s character brought a sense of comfort to the viewers.

Apart from adding a new twist to Will Byers’ sexual orientation, Stranger Things has introduced several new characters throughout the series. Although Argyle’s presence was important in Season 4, it might be harder for the writer’s team to fit him into the final storyline. Most of the new characters seen in the previous season are dead. From the tragic death of Eddie to the antagonist Jason, most new characters no longer exist in the story. On the other hand, Argyle simply exists around Hawkins and lives a carefree life. However, the writers might have to work more to add him to the story and make him crucial to the final season as opposed to being used for comic relief.
