‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 To Explore Untapped Season 2 Ideas
Netflix’s Stranger Things has been a big success for the streamer ever since it premiered in 2016. With several seasons to plan, the show makers Matt and Ross Duffer and the writer team had to scrape several ideas for the second season to achieve perfection. The idea that their beloved Netflix series planned to explore a parallel storyline will surely entice fans. This will also spark speculations as to what elements were teased in the second season but never explored. In Netflix’s Tudum event, show maker Ross Duffer teased, “The success of Season 1 freaked us out, and then we knew we needed to build up this bigger world, that this was going to be ongoing. That meant prep for Season 2 included filling up a whiteboard with every idea the writers’ room could imagine. But it was way too much more idea than we needed. For Season 5, we’re pulling from a lot of those big Season 2 ideas… A lot of our big ending stuff has pulled from stuff that we thought was going to be in Season 2.”
Stranger Things Season 5 Will Tonally Mirror Season 1
Although the Duffers had planned the number of seasons for the series for a long time, back when Season 2 was being developed, the series had the flexibility to move in any direction. Now, that the series is headed toward its final season, the makers are likely to use the best of their ideas to give Stranger Things a proper sendoff.

However, bringing some ideas from the second season isn’t the only way the series will create a great final season. As per reports, the fifth season will tonally mirror Season 1 ensuring that each character gets their deserved ending.
Season 5 Will Be A Culmination Of All Previous Seasons
Back at the FYC event, Ross also teased that the final season will be a culmination of all the seasons. This means Season 5 will have bits and pieces from each season. Each of the previous seasons had a unique tonality. While Season 3 was a summer blockbuster with big monsters, Season 4 focused on depicting itself as a psychological horror. So, Season 5 will go back to the roots and bring back the tone set in the first season while using ideas from Season 2.
