In their search for the best voices in America, the judges ventured to Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Nashville and came across this famous singer’s daughter. Lyric Medeiros auditioned alongside other contestants that include Jack Nicora, Zachariah Smith, Kya Monee, and Colin Stough. Fans will also get to see their favorite host Ryan Seacrest return after announcing his exit from Live with Ryan and Kelly.
Lyric Medeiros Is Also A Law Student
Lyric Leolani Medeiros is a law student who also enjoys dancing and singing with her family. The free-spirited singer is among the thousand hopefuls auditioning for this top singing reality show. Born on May 1, 2001, she hails from Honolulu, Hawaii. Lyric has also won the title of Miss Hawaii High School America and is often seen sharing pictures with her father on social media.

After auditioning for American Idol, the reality show contestant shared a still from the show and talked about her experience on Instagram. She also won the silver ticket by singing Meghan Trainor’s song I’m Gonna Lose You.
In her audition video, Lyric wrote, “With a name like Lyric, singing seems like a must. My passion for singing has continued to grow ever since I was a little girl. My father was fortunate enough to perform around the world with his number one hit ‘Nothings Gonna Change My Love For You’.”
Fans Claim Lyric Medeiros Will Have Their Vote
Ahead of the show’s premiere on Monday, Lyric took to social media and started a countdown for the show. With a picture of her from the set of American Idol, she captioned, “Let the countdown to the American Idol premiere begin! We are only two and a half hours away! Tune in to Hulu Live at 8/7 Central to see how we did!”
