Tammy Slaton Surpasses Weight Goal, Ready For Surgery
1000-Lb. Sisters star Tammy Slaton has finally surpassed her weight goal and is all set for her bariatric surgery. In the latest sneak peek of the February 7 episode of the TLC show, Tammy is all cheerful and emotional about her achievement as she claims this is her “told-you-so moment.” The reality star has been making substantial changes in her life ever since she got admitted to the rehab. Tammy Slaton Dislikes Her Therapy Sessions
Tammy Slaton entered the Ohio-based rehab weighing 717 lbs. and needed to drop down to 550 lbs to be approved for her life-changing surgery. In the previous episode, Tammy was seen getting cranky at the subject of talking to her therapist, Dr. Connie Stapleton. It is mandatory for the TV personality to complete six therapy sessions to receive approval for her surgery. As reported by People, the 36-year-old also revealed that she isn’t looking forward to the session.

However, it seems like her therapy sessions and her willpower have finally helped her achieve a major milestone in life.
Tammy Slaton Admits She Stopped Breathing For A Second
Before getting on the scale, Tammy revealed in her confessional that, “I need to get to 550 lbs. for me to be approved for surgery. Until then, I hate getting on a scale. My worst fear is gaining weight. I don’t want to disappoint my family or myself.”
As Tammy stepped on the scale all nervous, her doctor revealed that she weighed 534 lbs. Her sister Amanda exclaimed with pride, “B—are you serious? For real? Tammy, you see that!”

Talking to the camera, Misty claimed that she is very stoked and proud of Tammy for achieving her weight goal.
A cheery Tammy Slaton revealed in her confessional, “When I got on the scale and I saw the scale was at 534.7, I kinda stopped breathing for a second. I’m like 14 lbs. under my goal weight. From over 700, that’s a huge drop. I did that!”
Tammy Slaton Still Needs Approval From Other Doctors
The TLC star also admitted that she is feeling proud, thrilled, and excited, all of these emotions at once.
“I proved everybody wrong. Everybody that doubted me, I finally got mine! My told-you-so moment!” she concluded with a big smile on her face.

While it might seem that Tammy Slaton can finally be done with the surgery and work towards a healthy weight, she still needs to be approved by several other doctors including her therapist.
