Good Morning America host Robin Roberts shared an important reason she was MIA again from the ABC show. The TV broadcaster was on an extended vacation and was missing from the show for two weeks. This comes after the 62-year-old shared big news with fans and her co-hosts. She revealed that she is ramping up the preparations for her upcoming wedding with her longtime partner Amber Laign. Robin Roberts Honors Martin Luther King Jr.
On Friday, the newscaster was missing from the show’s main desk after appearing at a major event to honor Martin Luther King Jr. On Twitter, she retweeted a fan’s tweet and wrote, “My pleasure to be a part of such a special evening.”

The next day after the event, Robin Roberts was nowhere to be seen on the show. In her place, Eva Pilgrim, Michael Strahan, and Whit Johnson appeared on the desk. So, this proves to be a great reason she was MIA from the show on Friday.

A day earlier, the former Jeopardy! host had an on-air banter with her co-host and weatherman, Sam Champion as she called him out on his haircut. As reported by The Sun, the anchor joked to her colleague stating that Barney Rubble (a Flinstones character) had asked for his hair back.
Robin Roberts Isn’t Impressed By Sam Champion
The meteorologist had just returned to the show after his Brazilian vacation with his husband Rubem Robierb. However, the weathercaster badly failed to impress Robin Roberts while using sports analogies to discuss the weather. He said, “Look at this. 240 inches of snow in Mountain Mammoth, California. Now, how do I relate that to people who don’t live there? So, you know me. I fall back on sports analogies, as I always do.”

As Robin Roberts groaned off-camera seemingly unimpressed, Sam continued, “If you took a basketball hoop, and you put two of them on top of each other. Am I good, Robin? How am I doing right now?”
However, Robin didn’t approve of his attempt and said, “A little shaky.”
When Will Robin Roberts And Amber Laign Get Married?
Now, that Robin Roberts has finally said yes to the dress and decided to get married, fans are excited to see their favorite GMA host walk the aisle and start a new chapter of her life. Robin Roberts has been in a relationship with businesswoman/massage therapist Amber Laign for 18 years. They met on a blind date in 2005. However, their relationship was private for years until the news anchor came out to the public as gay in 2013.
