In a clip that has now gone viral, Robin Roberts wished her pal Sam a Happy New Year on Monday. However, what she said next had the weatherman in hysterics. The 62-year-old quipped, “I got a call from Barney Rubble who wants his hair back.”
As Sam Champion laughed at the witty remark, he replied, “Why are you listening to the control room?”

The former Dancing With The Stars contestant also claimed that the control room has been sending him Bamm-Bamm jokes throughout the day. For the unversed, Bamm-Bamm is a white-haired fictional character in the Flinstones franchise. He is the adopted son of Betty and Barney Rubble. Robin Roberts further admitted that she couldn’t resist taking a jab at her colleague with this light-hearted remark.
As reported by The Sun, the fan-favorite weatherman urged Robin to take a day off and plan a trip to Brazil. However, she again joked, “Yabba Dabba Doo.”
