On Tuesday, January 17, Jenelle took to her Instagram Stories to share an update. She talked about her scary medical diagnosis. The former reality star asked fans for prayers during this time. Her doctor diagnosed her with mycoplasma pneumoniae.

Teen Mom OG alum talks about scary medical diagnosis
Earlier this week, Jenelle Evans took to her Instagram Stories to announce her health scare. She vetted questions from fans in a Q&A. Jenelle shared her health diagnosis and asked fans for prayers.
“I have mycoplasma pneumoniae,” Jenelle Evans wrote in her Instagram Stories. “Have you ever suffered from this?”
She wanted to know if her followers experienced something similar. Per CDC.gov, mycoplasma pneumoniae bacteria is a mild infection of the respiratory system. It can lead to a serious infection that requires immediate medical care. One of the symptoms is difficulty breathing.
The former MTV star received an overwhelming response to her crisis. Jenelle Evans asked her fans for well wishes and prayers. She shared some of those responses on her Instagram Stories. One fan asked her if it happened “after vacation again.” However, she feels that it was from mono, which she had when she was younger.

Another fan wanted to know more about the diagnosis. The OnlyFans content creator shared that it’s another name for bacterial pneumonia. A third fan advised Jenelle to get on antibiotics. She revealed that she’s working with her doctors to figure out the best form of recovery.
“I’m dealing with lots of body aches for over a year now. Hoping antibiotics will kick this out of my system,” Jenelle Evans wrote. “It’s pretty crazy. I think might be predisposed to a lot and low immunity from maybe Mono. As a kid?”
