Fans Say Gwen Stefani Is ‘Just As Messy As Ever’
Some fans are saying that Gwen Stefani is “just as messy as ever.” This comes amid the news of her head-scratching interview with Allure. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Gwen claimed she’s Japanese because she’s in love with the culture. She received criticism for her insensitive comments.
The songstress has been accused of cultural appropriation for much of her career. Most fans remember the time when she was inspired by the Harajuku culture for her 2008 pop album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby. Gwen defended that time in her life and fans called her out for her bizarre interview.
The Voice coach rambles about being Japanese
Gwen Stefani sat down for an exclusive interview with Allure about her GXVE Beauty brand. The conversation shifted to the time when she had a Harajuku Lovers fragrance brand. It was inspired by Japanese culture and her debut album. She shared that she was Japanese because she appreciates the culture.
The article mentioned her Italian-American and Irish-American descent. Gwen’s father worked for Yamaha, which required him to travel from California to the Japanese for about twenty years. Due to this connection, Gwen insists that she’s of Japanese descent.
Fourteen years after the debut of her Harajuku Lovers fragrance collection, we asked Gwen Stefani about the praise, the backlash, and the lessons she’s brought into her most recent beauty venture. What she said stunned us.https://t.co/9Ajqy1uvYF

You know what’s weird though? My (m 51 gay) best friend Adriana Jordan is half black and half Japanese and she looks just like Gwen. Not the blonde hair but she could buy that like anyone else. Check Facebook.. I’m sure there are lots of Japanese mixed girls that look like Gwen. She can have fun and say She is Japanese and that’s an awesome compliment. Quit putting out articles that divide us. We actually love each other and are happy! Report ON THAT! We are sick and tired of the media trying to make us beef with each other. And I’m sorry, but the fact that you want us to beef with Gwen Stephani, who doesn’t have any negative intentions at all is just gross.
