Captain Lee Robach doesn’t want to break his promise

Below Deck Season 10 won’t return until the New Year. In the meantime, fans can learn about whether Captain Lee Rosbach will return to the show. It seemed like a farewell, but he has plans on coming back as soon as possible. He wants to finish what he started.

Captain Lee was torn about leaving the boat. It was the right decision because he would’ve become a liability. He struggled to walk — especially when he experienced nerve issues on the left side of his body. The damage left him unable to captain a superyacht.

He had to say his goodbyes to the crew. Captain Lee also made a big promise to him. In his goodbye speech, he promised that he would return before the end of Below Deck Season 10. In his interview with People, he admitted that it was a vow he didn’t want to break.

“I made a promise to the crew before I left that I would be back before they were done before the season was over, and I would walk on board by myself unassisted,” Captain Lee Rosbach told People. “I’m happy to say that I was able to fulfill the promise. That was a very proud moment for me. I wanted to be able to finish what I started.”

For now, Below Deck fans will have to wait and see how Captain Sandy handles the crew. She just had her first night on the boat and it didn’t come without issues. She experienced an electrical fire and a quarrel between two stews. Captain Sandy has her work cut out for her.

Below Deck Season 10 returns in the New Year

Captain Lee Rosbach made sure he returned to the yacht strong. The moment he left the boat, he worked with a team of doctors and physical therapists. They helped nurse him back from his nerve issues. Captain Lee returned to Below Deck Season 10 with the okay from his doctors.

They confirmed that his back and neck surgeries were “extremely well.” However, Captain Lee Rosbach struggled with his basic motor skills. He used either a cane or crutches to get around. One morning, he woke up with numbness in his left side and he knew he had to leave.
