Captain Lee struggled with mobility and nerve issues when he joined the show. He would hope that he would recover from his issues over time. In his confessional interview, he explained what happened.

“My injury, it’s getting worse. The left side of my body, I don’t feel anything,” Captain Lee Rosbach said. “I expected a lot more progress than I’m experiencing, and the most frustrating part about it is, I can’t do a goddamn thing about it, and it’s hard.”

The St. David crew cried when he announced his exit. After he gathered a meeting, each one of them gathered around Captain Lee and gave him a hug. Everyone was crying, even the viewers at home who were sad to see him go. The so-called Stud of the Sea has been a fixture on the show since its inception.

He had physical therapy six days a week after leaving the boat. Captain Lee also had a clinician and massage therapist come to his home. In his exclusive interview with People, he shared that he would return later on Below Deck Season 10. Fans don’t have to wait another season for it to happen.
