The Good Morning America meteorologist covered up his hunky for a good reason. He had to protect himself from the elements of the brutal cold. Over the weekend, Rob Marciano posted a new selfie on his Instagram Stories. He wore his signature ABC News blue anorak with a gray knit beanie and a black mask covering his face.

Rob shared the temperature, which read 14F or -10C. He captioned his post: “Holy, Holy, Cold” alongside the freezing emoji. You could tell that he was in pain just by standing outside. Rob had a look of terror in his eyes. They watered up as he looked directly into the camera.

The weatherman had to report on the “coldest Christmas” yet. As a result, Rob was away from his family during the holiday season. Many American travelers dealt with the extreme winter weather this past weekend. The “bomb cyclone” is a catastrophic weather event that brought record-breaking snowstorms and plunging temperatures in most states.

Unfortunately, 26 Americans have lost their lives due to the cold conditions and falling trees, per CNN. Over 100 million in 37 states were placed under severe winter alerts. Thousands of flights were canceled due to extreme weather conditions. Rob Marciano was safe as he shared the photo on Instagram.

He did spend time with his family. Last week, Rob celebrated his son Mason, who earned his orange belt in karate. In his Instagram post, he joked that his son reminds his instructors that he now has two trophies. Even though Rob has to go away to report the wild weather, he still makes time for his kids.

GMA star shares a wild weather throwback

Earlier this month, Rob Marciano took to Instagram to share a wild weather throwback from this past summer. The photo shows him in the middle of what looks like a monsoon. Rob raised his arm as he held a microphone in the other hand and reported on the weather.

In his caption, Rob Marciano wrote: “Hurricane Season is officially over!” He also warned fans that “December is Here” and “Winter is Coming.” Fans took to the comment section to share their thoughts. Some told him to “stay safe” while others noticed that he sounded sick in a recent forecast.
