Hallmark Christmas is not the same without an Alicia Witt movie. So, where has Alicia been? Moreover, why has she not been in a Hallmark Christmas movie since Christmas Tree Lane with Andrew W. Walker?

We have the latest news on this mystery.

Why Hasn’t Alicia Witt Been In A Hallmark Christmas Movie?

Christmas is not Christmas without Alicia Witt. It has been two years since we have seen the multi-talented actress in a Hallmark Christmas movie, let alone any movie on the feel-good network. Moreover, fans want to know why.

Fans have recently asked the Cybill star why she has not been in a holiday movie in the last couple of years. Fortunately, Alicia responded.

One fan wrote asked Alicia on Twitter, “Dear Alicia, will we see you in more @hallmarkchannel @Hallmark movies? I’m watching Christmas Tree Lane, which I recorded when it first came out. I love this movie and hearing you sing.🙏❤️🥰”

Alicia graciously answered, “thank you so much ❤️🥰🎄of the offers I’ve received over last two years, hallmark has not been among them. we’ve been in touch recently & my understanding is that it’s been an oversight, with the changes over there… i’ve always loved making them & hope to next year!”

Therefore, Alicia didn’t leave the network. In the past year, there has been a flurry of stars like Candace Cameron Bure who left Hallmark for Great American Family. However, Alicia did not and this was an unfortunate oversight.

Best of all, Hallmark and Alicia Witt are in contact. Hopefully, this will lead to a role in a 2023 Hallmark Christmas movie.

Alicia Witt Will Be In ‘A Number Of New Movies’ In 2023

Another fan commented, “Miss seeing you in movies. Just watched The Last Holiday again for the 7th time. Good flick.”

Alicia’s reply should make her fans very happy. “I love that one too – so proud to be a part of it. I’ve got a number of new movies coming up next year :-)”

Although Alicia did not confirm that she has a new Hallmark movie, she did confirm that she is in several productions. That is fantastic news for her fans. More so, her most recent movie was for Lifetime. It was a Ripped From The Headlines movie called The Disappearance of Cari Farver.

For those fans who have not seen this thriller, it is a very different role for Alicia. Most of all, she was fantastic in her role.

    1. She started her cancer treatment around the same time her parents died. Her statement: “Although we didn’t yet know for absolute certain until after the mastectomy that the disease was completely healed from my left breast, this marked the end of my carboplatin/taxotere, + herceptin/perjeta (the latter two are immunotherapies which will continue, per protocol for HER2+, through the end of this year),”

      I wish her well!
