GMA’s TJ Holmes and Amy Robach are expected to spend Christmas with their families. However, this year might be a lonely one. According to a new report, they’ve been shunned by their family and friends amid the news of their alleged six-month affair. The lovebirds may need to lean on each other more during this holiday season.

Earlier this month, ABC benched TJ Holmes and Amy Robach. The two famously appeared on GMA3. Fans couldn’t help but notice the chemistry between the co-anchors before. Yet, they didn’t know they were having an alleged affair.

In late November, DailyMail.com published photographic and video evidence of their tryst. The two went on a getaway to upstate New York. TJ Holmes even patted Amy on the butt as she put the luggage in the trunk of their car. The two have even visited each other’s NYC apartments in secrecy.

At first, Good Morning America kept the co-anchors on the air in light of the news. Then there was more news of TJ Holmes’ alleged affairs with multiple people, including the show’s producer. ABC launched an internal review and benched the duo for the time being.

The GMA co-anchors are expected to return sometime in 2023. However, it doesn’t look good for them. There are still questions as to whether they will both return to GMA3. So far, ABC tested out newbie DeMarco Morgan, who is said to replace TJ Holmes. They also debuted Rhiannon Ally, who strikes a resemblance to Amy.

In the meantime, the loved-up couple made appearances in New York City. They were last seen walking the crowded streets arm-in-arm. Amy and TJ hope to have Christmas together this year. This one will be a difficult one since there are kids and families involved.

Lonely Christmas for benched GMA co-anchors

This Christmas might be the loneliest one for TJ Holmes and Amy Robach even if they found love with one another. The two are still upset over the DailyMail leaking their affair. This affected their friendships and professional relationships. Many of their fellow colleagues and friends are leaving them out of their holiday plans because they’re the most-talked-about couple in town.

An insider told The U.S. Sun that Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos aren’t happy with the pair. Amy and Robin used to be close, but that crumbled when news of their affair broke. Also, Lara Spencer and David Muir don’t want to get involved in the drama since they’re private people.

The two can’t even get support from their fans. Their Christmas plans may be awkward since their families might want to shun them from events. They were married to other people at the time of the alleged affair. Both TJ and Amy have kids from their marriages, which also makes it hard.
