Katey & Jedidiah Duggar Expecting Baby #2
Former Counting On star Jedidiah Duggar and his wife Katey Nakatsu are expecting baby #2! The couple shared their exciting news with fans on Friday, Dec. 16. Keep reading for all of the details about their new little one on the way.
Jedidiah and Katey got married on April 3, 2021. They currently have one son, Truett Oliver, who arrived on May 2, 2022.
Now, their family is growing again!
Katey & Jedidiah Duggar Expecting Baby #2
On Friday, Dec. 16, Jedidiah and Katey shared a new YouTube video with fans. In the video, Katey showed off the sweatshirt she was wearing to the Duggar family’s ugly sweater party. It reads, “Joy to the world. Oh, and I’m pregnant.”

They revealed that the baby is due in May 2023. So, the baby will arrive right around Truett’s first birthday. At this point, they haven’t revealed the gender publicly, so it’s unclear if they know yet.
Jedidiah Duggar explained to fans that Katey shared the news with him while they were on vacation. She had taken a pregnancy test, which came back with a faint positive line one day. So, the following day she took another, and that’s when she surprised him with the news.
The rest of the video follows Katey and Jedidiah as they share the big news with their family. Most of the family found out at the ugly sweater party. It looks like the news took several family members by surprise. Later in the video, Katey and Jedidiah Duggar announced the pregnancy to Joy Forsyth and her husband, Austin. Then, they told Jed’s twin, Jeremiah, and his wife Hannah, as well as Nathan and Esther Bates (Bringing Up Bates).
Duggar Fans Send Congratulations
In the comments section of their new YouTube video, Duggar fans are pouring in with congratulatory messages. Fans are very happy for the couple and can’t wait to get all of the details about the new baby. One fan sweetly said, “Congratulations to you guys and can’t wait to see the new baby.”
In addition to Katey, two other Duggars are known to be pregnant right now. Hannah and Jeremiah will welcome their first baby in March 2023, and Joy and Austin will have their third baby in May. So, these little cousins will be very close in age.
