Is Shaeeda Sween Scamming ’90 Day Fiance’ Fans?
Is Shaeeda Sween scamming 90 Day Fiance fans? This may comes as shock to those who grew to love the TLC star. She shared an Instagram post that has fans asking many questions.
What’s an Instagram giveaway?
Shaeeda Sween made her debut on the original 90 Day Fiance series. She returned with her husband Bilal Hazziez on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After. For much of Season 7, the two argued over their future plans. Shaeeda is ready to have a baby, and Bilal has no desire to have any more children.
He keeps beating around the bush instead of telling her directly. Bilal wants to push off their baby plans while Shaeeda wants to have kids as soon as possible. Her gynecologist told her that she has so much time to have children. Trying for a baby can also come with its own set of complications.
In the meantime, Shaeeda is focusing on growing her brand. She shared a giveaway on her Instagram page. Giveaways are a great way for celebrities, public figures, and reality TV stars to boost their presence on the platform. It draws traffic to their page and gives them a boost in followers.
While Instagram giveaways claim to be real, they also have their share of drawbacks. Some people claim to never receive cash or prizes. Of course, there’s no such thing as getting free money or luxury gifts. Yet, celebrities are willing to advertise them because they make big bucks from them.
Most of the criticism stems from the marketing company they teamed up with. The Kardashians often advertise giveaways on Instagram. So, the 90 Day Fiance star decided to give it a shot. That didn’t stop the fans from calling her out on the alleged scam.
90 Day Fiance fans call Shaeeda a con artist
Earlier this month, Shaeeda took to her Instagram to share an iPhone giveaway with her fans. She shared a photo of herself holding onto the latest phone while being surrounded by luxury bags. The post in question gave 90 Day Fiance fans a funny feeling. Some called her out in the comment section and even claim that she acted like a con artist.
“I’m giving away an iPhone 14, one of those designer bags or equivalent,” she shared on her Instagram account.
Some of the fans took to Reddit to share screenshots from Shaeeda’s post. One fan wrote: “Love how Bilal’s Louis Fuitton is pictured,” taking a shot at his fake lifestyle. Others noted that the photo was questionable because of the empty shopping bags. Some called the 90 Day Fiance star out for the “scam.”
Shaeeda since removed the post from her Instagram feed. It looks like the giveaway didn’t work out since 90 Day Fiance fans don’t believe her. Some fans claimed that these contests don’t work out because it’s only a clever marketing scheme. Fellow TLC stars often do it to boost their social media presence.
Some 90 Day Fiance fans fell out of love with Shaeeda after this season. They think she’s trying to deceive fans with a false storyline. Others think she’s worse than Bilal since she tried to take advantage of her own fans. It’s also likely that Shaeeda isn’t aware of the giveaway that directs back to an educational website.
