Elon Musk releases a statement on Twitter

On Friday, December 2, Elon Musk confirmed that Twitter suspended Kanye West’s account. Elon claimed that Kanye’s latest tweet violated the social media platform’s rules on inciting violence. The billionaire previously allowed the Yeezy designer back on the Twitter site. He also brought back former President Donald Trump’s Twitter account. However, Trump refuses to return to Twitter.

“I tried my best. Despite that, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended,” Elon Musk tweeted in a reply.

Per CNN, it is unclear which of Kanye West’s tweets lead to his suspension. The rapper, who legally changed his name to Ye, has been in trouble for his string of antisemitic comments which he doubled down on in recent interviews. He recently tweeted an altered image of the Star of David that featured a swastika inside of it.

Kanye West stirred trouble on both Instagram and Twitter with his antisemitic comments, which have increased in recent months. He lost business deals because of it. The musician even lost his partnership with Adidas. Kanye also lost his billionaire status as he continues to grapple with the IRS for tax evasion.

Prior to Kanye’s Twitter suspension, Elon shared that he forgave him. He reached out directly to the hip-hop artist, talking about forgiveness. Elon mentioned Jesus Christ’s teachings, which he originally called “weak and foolish.” However, he learned that he “was the fool” for not realizing how important forgiveness is.

Despite forgiving Kanye, his Twitter account remains suspended for the time being.

Kanye West removes himself from hate groups

Kanye West is trying to distance himself from hate groups. Yet, he continues to defend his antisemitic comments. He shared that he’s not associated with any such groups. Kanye claims that he wants to spread hate, not love.

“I have no association to any hate group,” Kanye West shared during a 16-minute rambling video recorded by WmgLab Records. “If any hate happens upon any Jewish person, it is not associated [gestures to self] because I am demanding that everyone walk in love.”

This isn’t the first time that he’s been in trouble with Twitter. In October, the platform locked Kanye’s account over his antisemitic tweet. This came before Elon’s finalized deal to acquire the social media platform.

  1. Why does the media keep repeating what KANYE says? Ignore him, quit giving him airtime!
In KANYE’s state it would be better to just IGNORE him!!
