Al Roker Rushed To Hospital As Wife Tries Smashing Windows
Today show host Al Roker isn’t out of the woods yet. Just a day after being released from the hospital on Thanksgiving, the weathercaster was rushed back. The 68-year-old was earlier hospitalized for a blood clot in his legs that spread to the lungs. However, after showing signs of improvement, he was discharged and celebrated Thanksgiving with his family. What happened? Why was he taken back to the hospital? Keep reading to find out the details!
Al Roker’s Wife Deborah Struggled With A Car Malfunction
As reported exclusively by Page Six, a witness confirmed his hospitalization for the second time. They revealed, “Al was taken from his home in a stretcher back to the hospital on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. His condition was worrying, but once back in the hospital, he improved.”
As the weatherman was swept away by the ambulance, his wife, Deborah Roberts tried to follow right behind in her Tesla. However, she reportedly struggled to get inside the car due to a malfunction.

Roberts attempted to smash through the glass window on the front side of the car. She was also helped by a neighbor outside of their New York home.
The witness described the tense scene and said, “His wife, Deborah, was understandably very upset. She had left her phone and other possessions inside their Tesla, which had malfunctioned and wouldn’t unlock, so she was trying to smash in a window.”
Deborah And Her Daughter Visit The Hospital In A Taxi
However, Deborah’s attempt to break into her car was unsuccessful. With no time to spare anymore, she and her daughter took a taxi to the hospital to be by Al’s side.
Later on Monday, she took to her Instagram and shared a cryptic post of a tree with a beautiful ray of sunshine coming through. She captioned the post, “The light,” with no details as to what it means for her or her family.

Fans flocked to the comments praying for Al’s safe return from the hospital. One wrote, “Thinking of you and your family. Sending positive vibes from CA!”
“Hoping and praying Al is on the mend,” added another.
A third wished, “I sure hope Al is doing well. Sure miss him.”
Al Roker Has A Special Thanksgiving Parade In The Hospital
During his previous hospitalization, Al Roker missed hosting the Thanksgiving parade, something he has been doing for almost three decades. However, he didn’t let go of a chance to be a part of the parade in his own unique style.

The host dubbed that his hospital departure was his version of the Thanksgiving Day parade. Later on, he also posted a picture of himself on Instagram watching the parade hosted by his colleagues Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie on TV.
