Al Roker’s Wife Breaks Silence Amid Hubby’s Serious Health Scare
Today show weathercaster Al Roker is back home and recovering from the health emergency he had two weeks ago. Now, his wife Deborah Roberts broke the silence over the matter and even thanked fans for their prayers. What did the TV journalist say? Keep reading to find out the details!
Al Roker Hospitalized For Blood Clot In His Lungs And Legs
Earlier this month, he was hospitalized and received treatment for blood clots in his legs and lungs. Previously, the weatherman had been missing from the show for quite some time leaving fans worried. As per The Sun, this isn’t the first time he dealt with a health issue. Back in 2020, he was diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer that was confined to a specific area. Given that the cancer was discovered early, the host underwent a five-hour surgery which was successful, leaving him cancer-free.

On Monday, the GMA star shared a beautiful picture of trees with sunlight shining through the leaves. She captioned the post, “The light.”
A pastor/follower said, “You, your husband, and your family are a wonderful example of light in this world.”

“I’m praying for healing and full health to be restored,” he continued.
Touched by the pastor’s message, Deborah replied showing her appreciation with a prayer hands emoji.
Al Roker Hosted Thanksgiving Parade For Almost Three Decades
Al Roker’s hospital stay lasted two weeks during which he updated his fans about his health. And, he wrote on Instagram, “After some medical whack-a-mole, I am so fortunate to be getting terrific medical care and on the way to recovery. Thanks for all the well wishes/prayers. Have a good weekend.”
The 68-year-old left the hospital last Thursday. On Instagram, he shared a video of himself leaving the premises while letting out a cheerful “Wahoo!”

As he paraded through the hospital, he confirmed that it was his version of the Thanksgiving Day parade. For almost three decades, the host has taken charge of the Thanksgiving Day parade. Additionally, he hosted the parade alongside his co-hosts, Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie.
Hoda and Savannah Give Al Roker An On-Air Shout Out
However, this year, he missed out on the same due to his ongoing health problem. During the parade, his co-stars, Hoda and Savannah also gave a shout-out to him live on air. Hoda said, “For the past 27 parades, at this moment, Savannah, we would turn to Al Roker, who’s our Today Show colleague and our best pal.”

Savannah agreed with Hoda and added, “We love you, Al. We’ll see you next year.”
Although it would take the weathercaster some time to heal, we hope that he will soon return to the Today studio.
