Mark Brandon’s Role In Hallmark Christmas Movie

You are starring in the upcoming holiday movie Inventing The Christmas Prince. Who do you play in this movie? And can you share a few words about your role or even a very brief synopsis?
Actually, I’m not starring in this, but merely showing up in a cameo at the end. I’m on a board of directors who have some unexpected news to deliver to our lead, Ronnie Rowe.

Mark Brandon Talks About Working With Ronnie Rowe

You are working with two of my favs: Ronnie Rowe. He is fantastic in Star Trek Discovery and The Man From Toronto. And Tamera Mowry-Housley. This pair could easily do comedy or drama. Will there be comedic moments in this movie?
To be honest, I really can’t say. I only did one scene, and that was with Ronnie. Never met or worked with him in the past, but I can say he’s one of the finest individuals I’ve ever met in this business. He’s a very warm and genuine person. His acting is absolutely superb, in my opinion. It was a joy to watch him up close.

Role In Fit For Christmas

I believe you are in at least one more 2022 Hallmark Christmas movie. What movie is it, and who do you play?
Actually, it’s a Christmas movie for the CBS network. I think they’ve seen the light with respect to how popular Christmas movies have become.
In this one, Amanda Kloots is the female lead and Paul Greene is the male lead. I have a supporting role as Paul’s father. Amanda produced this and has been showing some clips and touting it lately on her CBS show, The Talk.

Any Information On When Calls The Heart Role?

You shared on Facebook that you were in Hope Valley filming When Calls The Heart. Can you tell us anything about your role?
Believe me, I’d absolutely love to, but can’t. Once Hallmark begins to promote my episodes, I can certainly share far more, including some BTS photos.

Mark Brandon Talks About The WCTH Set

What was it like being on the iconic WCTH set and working with this tight-knit cast?
Like a dream come true. I had been wanting to be on the show for nearly 10 years. I read for judges and businessmen, and came close, but no cigar as they say. Now, I have the cigar—a very substantial and interesting character, spread over episode 9 and 10.
Describing the cast as close-knit is bang-on. They joke and kid one another throughout the day. It’s fun being around that energy. They’ve all made me feel very welcome. Plus, it was nice having worked with Chris and Kavan in other Hallmark movies. It’s made for a pleasant reunion.

Mark Brandon Talks About Hallmark’s Wedding Of A Lifetime

In Wedding Of A Lifetime, you and Brianna Buckmaster seemed to have a lot of fun playing your roles and added to the humor of the movie.
Yes, it was fun. Brianna’s a solid, dependable talent and I’m glad she was cast in the part. She’s very confident and very playful. It totally made my job easier and fun.

Mark Brandon Natural Newscaster

I need to ask…you are so convincing as a newscaster-including in Man In The High Castle! This is not the first time you have portrayed one! Have you ever been one in real life? Also, as a high-ranking military guy!
If you have a closer look at my IMDb credits, you’ll see a lot of news anchor jobs. When I’ve been away travelling, I’ve had strangers ask me if I’m a news anchor. Even had a director tell me I missed my calling (lol!)
Funny you should ask about high-ranking military. I haven’t played a substantial military role yet, but I’ve been recently asked to audition for a good number of generals and admirals. This is becoming such a trend, I went out and had headshots done with both a Rear Admiral and Lt. General’s uniform.

What Makes Chesapeake Shores So Special?

Chesapeake Shores just ended after six seasons. You were in several episodes of that show. What do you think made this show so special?
Their relationships. No doubt about it. I think any TV show’s popularity rises and falls on the dynamic between the individual
characters.

When Calls The Heart Fulfills Mark Brandon’s Acting Wish

Do you have a dream role or a character role that you have not yet played?
You bet. I want to do a western. Guess it’s the big kid in me that still wants to be a cowboy. I love that period in
history and WCTH kinda comes close.

Mark Brandon Has Heartie Wish

What news do you want to share with fans?
Well, I’ve worked hard on my new character in Season 10. I hope the Hearties like what I bring to Hope Valley.
Otherwise, I’m eager to see how Fit for Christmas comes out. I seldom like to watch myself, but for some reason,
I definitely want to see this.
Don’t miss Mark in the upcoming Fit For Christmas, premiering on Sunday, December 4, at 8:30 p.m., 8 p.m., Pacific, on CBS.
In addition, look for Mark in Hope Valley in When Calls The Heart Season 10. This will premiere sometime in the middle of 2023.
