Paul Greene Discusses Future Of ‘When Calls The Heart’ Role
When Calls The Heart just completed filming Season 10. The number one Hallmark series will premiere in the middle of 2023. However, will Paul Greene be back in the series this upcoming season?

Will Paul Greene Return To When Calls The Heart?
Many Hearties want to know if Paul Greene will reprise his When Calls The Heart role. Could his character Dr. Carson Shepherd return to the Hallmark series?
Speaking to TVInsider, Paul Greene discussed his role as Dr. Carson Shepherd. First, he stated that Carson’s return to Hope Valley would be up to “the gods.” Does that mean there has been no discussion about his character?
It does sounds like the folks at Hallmark have been talking about completing this story, or creating a new storyline for the doctor. It appears that they are stalled in the negotiation stage.
There have been talks about some different approaches to completing that storyline or expanding that. That falls into the hands of the gods.
Paul has confirmed that although there is talk about his role, should he be back, he did not indicate that he was back. By stating it was just “talks” and that his future role was up to the “hands of the gods,” it confirms he has not been secretly filming the series.
But, could Paul Greene return to Hope Valley?
Paul Greene Involved In ‘Many Cool Projects’
When Calls The Heart alum Paul Greene may not have been in the last couple of seasons of WCTH, but he has been busy with other projects.
He explained that he has been involved with several projects that could not have happened if he was committed to a series like WCTH.
There are so many cool projects I’m involved in. When you’re on a series, you might be able to sneak in one or two things. I loved being on it, but there are so many other projects I wanted to do.
I helped produce a pilot. I’ve been involved in a film for two years that I’m proud of. If I was on a series, that all wouldn’t happen.
He also explained that if he was on the Hallmark series, he would not have been around for his fiancée’s pregnancy and the birth of their son Austin Greene.
I also had a baby and was able to be there for the whole pregnancy. I would never give up any of that for extra seasons.
Greene revealed that he was happy to not return to the series, and instead be there for this special time.
Will Carson Shepherd Be In When Calls The Heart Season 10?
Lastly, Hearties may want some clarification about When Calls The Heart Season 10. Will Dr. Carson Shepherd return to Hope Valley?
There is absolutely no indication that Carson will be back on WCTH. Moreover, it sounds like Paul Greene’s schedule is very busy.

Sounds like Paul is content to leave Carson Shepherd’s story and move on with his cornucopia of personal projects. Therefore, he will not be back on When Calls The Heart Season 10, or any future season, should the Hallmark series continue.
