Disney+ ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ To Feature A Mystical Superhero
Disney+’s upcoming Daredevil reboot series might introduce a mystical superhero to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Recently, it was revealed that Matt Murdock/Daredevil’s original love interest, Karen, played by Deborah Ann Woll might not be a part of the series. Daredevil Reboot Will Have Eighteen Episodes In Season 1
Daredevil has made his way into both Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney At Law. However, after the original series was canceled on Netflix, fans were devastated, hoping for some form of renewal. Although the upcoming series will tell the tale of Daredevil in a whole new way, it sure is good news for fans who hoped to see their favorite superhero on screen again.

The limited reboot series will have a total of eighteen episodes in the first season. It is slated to premiere sometime in 2024 on Disney+. This extreme length for a single season is a first for Marvel Studios which currently sits at nine episodes per season. And now, the excitement for this project might run even higher as the series might introduce a brand new superhero to the MCU.
Which Superhero Will Join Daredevil: Born Again?
As per reports by The Direct, White Tiger will join Charlie Cox in Daredevil: Born Again for the streamer. Rumors also state that the role of White Tiger might be portrayed by Jenna Ortega. Although Marvel hasn’t confirmed anything as of yet, the topic of White Tiger has been doing the rounds on social media. Add that to the superhero’s history as Daredevil’s ally and a street-level hero, it just might make sense.

White Tiger is a role taken up by several individuals throughout the Marvel comics world. The first time it was Angela Del Toro seen in Volume 2 of Daredevil in 2004. The second White Tiger was Ava Ayala who was introduced in Avengers Academy #20 in 2011. However, the original individual who took up the mantle was Hector Ayala who first debuted in 1975 in Deadly Hands Of Kung Fu. This version of the Marvel character was the first Latino superhero and had a home in NYC. However, the character faced a tragic death in the 2003 Daredevil story.
How Does White Tiger Get Its Power?
White Tiger gets its power from the White Tiger Amulet. This amulet gives the wearers enhanced abilities like super strength, mastery of martial arts, agility, speed, and so much more. In some chapters, the superhero is also seen utilizing the amulet’s energy as a concussive force. Not just that, the actual Tiger God spirit also gets involves when required.

With mystical characters set to appear in the upcoming series, it seems like Matt Murdock will have much more on his hands than simply handling NYC crimes.
