Jodie Sweetin Throws Shade At Candace Cameron Bure
When Candace Cameron Bure announced that shows and movies on the Great American Family network would not include LGBTQ+ representation, it caused a huge controversy with other Hollywood stars. Now, her own Full House co-star and friend Jodie Sweetin has chimed in.

The controversy started when Candace Cameron Bure used her status as the CCO at the Great American Family network to create a decree that there would be no gay representation in the show’s movies and shows. She said that they would stay true to “traditional marriage.” She also said their entertainment would appeal to “Christians that love the Lord.” They also wanted to “promote faith programming and good family entertainment.”
That led to actress Hilarie Burton carrying the torch and blasting Bure for what she called “bigotry.” Burton said that both “Candy” and head of the Great American Family network head, Bill Abbott, were “bigots.” She posted, “I don’t remember Jesus liking hypocrites like Candy.”
Things got more personal when JoJo Siwa said it surprised her that Bure would say what she did publicly. “I can’t believe after everything that went down just a few months ago, that she would not only create a movie with intention of excluding LGBTQIA+, but then also talk about it in the press,’” JoJo wrote. She then called it “rude and hurtful” to an entire community of people.
JoJo Siwa came out in 2019 and ended up in the first same-sex dancing couple in Dancing With the Stars history. She has been there to support young people feeling comfortable in their own skin. JoJo is also not someone who will stand silent when someone intentionally insults her community.

What was surprising was that Jodie Sweetin sided with JoJo Siwa in this situation. The reason for the surprise is that Jodie and Candace are still friends. In the comments to JoJo’s post, Jodie showed up and wrote, “You know I love you.” It wasn’t something that she had to do, but it was a nice sentiment.
JoJo had originally thought Candace was a mean person when she blew her off years ago. However, the two made up since then, although this latest slight might have ended that. Jodie Sweetin, on the other hand, knows what it is like to have people judge her.
Jodie has struggled for years with addiction issues, and she is now sober and working on leading a better life. She re-joined Candace for Fuller House, and the two remain friends to this day. However, in supporting someone who feels demonized for who they are, she wouldn’t stand by silently.

How dare you say Christians that love the Lord will watch. I consider myself a Christian and I’m staying with Hallmark because they love ALL people. I loved your movies on Hallmark but if that you are a bigot maybe they should not play any with you in it. You stand for people lying about stuff to get what you want(Lori) that’s messed up.
one has to take a stance on their beliefs…it is not about not loving members of the LGBT community…but not loving their life styles…and as a Christain one has to take this stance..it is one that is splitting churches…marriages are traditionally man and woman…Hallmark has decided to add LGBT to their movies and GMAC is taking the traditional road….not everyone has to support the same things…does not make people bigoted or bad people..just different beliefs..
