Actress Attacks Candace Cameron Bure For Her Latest TV Move

An actress attacked Candace Cameron Bure for her latest TV move. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, the GAC Family star has made another controversial statement about her move to the network. She explained why she left the Hallmark Channel where she built a career as the so-called Queen of Christmas.

Some may beg to differ and say that accolade goes to Mariah Carey. Arguably, Candace built up quite a reputation with her plethora of Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel. She has been under fire again for saying the reason she left is that GAC Family embraces traditional family roles. One actress isn’t sitting well with Candace’s comments.

Candace Cameron Bure on her decision to leave Hallmark

In a new interview with the Wall Street Journal, Candace Cameron Bure explained her reason to leave the Hallmark Channel. She admitted that the changes that the network made were the reason for her departure. Candace was part of the Hallmark Family for several decades. However, she felt that she wanted to continue to tell traditional stories.

Another reason for her departure is that she’s a staunch Christian. Candace feels that her beliefs didn’t align with Hallmark Channel’s recent changes in featuring more LGBTQ content. She felt that GAC Family was a good match for her morals and beliefs.

“I knew that the people behind Great American Family were Christians that love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment,” Candace Cameron Bure explained to The Wall Street Journal. “I think that Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at the core.”

Once again, the Fuller House alum spoke out against gay marriage and the LGBTQ community. This isn’t the first time that Candace has been outspoken about her faith and values. When she was a panelist on The View, she supported a bakery that refused to serve an LGBTQ couple. She argues that individuals and companies should make business decisions based on their Christian beliefs.

Hilarie Burton calls out GAC Family star

An actress from One Tree Hill isn’t happy with Candace Cameron Bure’s comments. On Monday, she shared her thoughts on the former child star’s interview. Hilarie took it one step further by calling Candace a “bigot.” The interview has since made its rounds on social media.

“Bigot. I don’t remember Jesus liking hypocrites like Candy,” Hilarie tweeted. “But sure. Make your money, honey. You ride that prejudice wave all the way to the bank.”

Now they’re just openly admitting their bigotry.

Candace also told WSJ that she wants to “tell stories that have more meaning and purpose and depth behind them.” She also told the publication that viewers can expect not to see any LGBTQ couples on GAC Family’s lineup of holiday movies.
