JoJo Siwa Slams Candace Cameron Bure For Marriage Comments
JoJo Siwa and Candace Cameron Bure are at odds once again. Just like the last time the two had a mini feud, it was all about something Candace did. In this case, it was a comment about “traditional marriage” that the former Full House star said about her new movie.

Candace Cameron Bure works as the CCO of the Great American Family Network. In that role, she has a strong hand in what content the network produces and what that content says about the network. In her mission statement for the new network, Bure said she wants the network to display “Christians that love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment.”
However, it was something else she said that rubbed JoJo Siwa the wrong way. “I think that Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at the core,” Cameron said in the interview. While other networks have a variety of shows for all types of people, from straight romances to gay romance stories. Bure has insisted that there will be no LGBTQ+ representation on her network.
That set off JoJo Siwa. The former Dance Moms star came out in 2019 and ended up as the first same-sex dancing couple in Dancing With the Stars history. JoJo posted an image of the interview and showed shock at the comments by Bure. “I can’t believe after everything that went down just a few months ago, that she would not only create a movie with intention of excluding LGBTQIA+, but then also talk about it in the press'” JoJo wrote. “This is rude and hurtful to a whole community of people.”
JoJo’s problem isn’t that Bure is not creating stories representing people of all walks of life. It is that she is insisting that she won’t include LGBTQ+ representation because of their way of life. This led to several people to come to JoJo’s side, including DWTS pro Ezra Sosa and Maddie Ziegler, who commented “go off jojo!!!!!!!.”
This isn’t JoJo’s first time to go after Candace
JoJo Siwa’s comment about “a few months ago” represented a confrontation she previously had with Candace Cameron Bure. JoJo created a TikTok where she said that Candace was the “rudest celebrity I’ve met.” However, much to her surprise, Candace reached out, and the two seemed to make amends on the apparent misunderstanding. However, this recent issue might be a little more difficult to patch up.
Actress Hilarie Burton went after Candace for the recent dust up on Twitter. “Bigot. I don’t remember Jesus liking hypocrites like Candy,” Hilary wrote. “But sure. Make your money, honey. You ride that prejudice wave all the way to the bank.” That comment even saw her husband, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, comment with, “Who the f**k is this person?” about Cameron.
