Exclusive: John Christian Plummer Updates On Hallmark Mysteries
Once again, we caught up with Mystery 101 screenwriter, John Christian Plummer, to talk about Hallmark Mysteries. Back in September, we asked Plummer some questions about his mysteries in an Exclusive Interview.
In this interview, he revealed where he keeps his eighth Mystery 101 script. He also shares information on the shared DNA of this popular series as well as his new mystery series, Francesca Quinn, PI.
Currently, Hallmark is ensconced in mistletoe and plenty of snow with their 40 brand-new 2022 Countdown To Christmas movies.
However, 2023 is just around the corner. Best of all, there is already some Hallmark Mystery action that Sleuthers will want to know about.
In this Exclusive Interview, the talented scribe shared some information on not one, but four mysteries, including one fan-favorite that is about to go into production.
Here is the latest information that should interest Sleuthers everywhere.
Is There Another Curious Caterer Mystery?
First, we asked John Christian Plummer about the movie, Grilling Season: A Curious Caterer Mystery. Moreover, did he write the script? Will Andrew Walker and Nikki DeLoach be back?
His response was in the affirmative.
Absolutely, I’m currently writing the new Curious Caterer. Goldy and Tom will be back! Production starts soon.
It should be noted that according to IMDb, this movie will be directed by Paul Ziller, who just directed Andrew W. Walker’s upcoming Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Miracles Of Christmas movie, A Maple Valley Christmas. There is no additional cast information.
Moreover, there is no information on when this new Hallmark Mystery will be scheduled to air.
Did Hallmark Mysteries Order Second Francesca Quinn, PI?
When we asked John Christian Plummer’s other mystery series, Francesca Quinn, PI, starring Mallory Jansen and Dylan Bruce, he did not have any news about another movie.
No word yet on more Frankie and Wyn, but I know the fan response was outstanding. We usually don’t hear for a while, so this isn’t unusual.
However, Plummer did share that he was working on something new.
I can tell you that I have a new mystery to write after CC. Can’t say any more just yet.
Therefore, John Christian Plummer is working on yet another mystery series. No news on what this is, but a tantalizing hint. It sounds like there will be another Hallmark Mystery for Sleuthers in 2023.
What About The Future Of Mystery 101?
Lastly, in October, in a TVShowsAce Exclusive Interview with Kristoffer Polaha, we asked him about Mystery 101. This is what Polaha had to say.
No comment, other than I will say, next steps are becoming much clearer and some amazing news is on the horizon.

That’s excellent news from KP. We are determined to tell the next chapter of Amy and Travis.
Sleuthers are also determined to see the eighth Mystery 101 movie happen. John Christian Plummer has the script. Hopefully, they will make it happen soon.
What Can Sleuthers Do?
This past week, a member of the Kristoffer Polaha Appreciation Facebook group mentioned that they met him at his book signing with Anna Gomez. The two were out promoting their second novel together called Where The Sun Rises (From Kona With Love).
According to the Mystery 101 Fans’ Instagram Story repost, she revealed that they asked Kristoffer about Mystery 101. This is what transpired.
Had the fabulous joy of meeting Kris last night! We of course asked about Mystery 101. His response ‘There is movement at the network. That’s all I can say at this point!’
The other thing he told us was to keep making noise with the network. Snail mail, email, comments on posts, tweets, etc. (Nothing rude or demanding) but just keeping it in front of them.
It matters a lot that we keep doing it multiple times!
