Amy & Mike Halterman Rub Elbows With Horror Movie Royalty
It’s no secret that Amy and Mike Halterman love horror movies. After all, they even said they named their sons after horror movie characters. Knowing all this, it’s pretty clear that the Haltermans are big Halloween people too.
So how exactly is the family spending the holiday weekend? According to Amy, they managed to meet some pretty significant names in the horror movie industry. Keep reading to see exactly what happened.
Amy and Mike Halterman experience some Halloween festivities as a family
Amy and Mike Halterman are spending Halloween weekend together as a family and participating in some ghoulish activities. Those include spending time at a haunted forest and meeting horror movie actors.
“Omg got to meet Douglas tait or Mike Mayer from Halloween kills. Gage loved the haunt forest. He had a blast playing with the cast,” Amy captioned her Instagram post. In the photo, Amy and Mike Halterman pose with the actor, while holding their oldest son. Another photo revealed that Amy’s sister Amanda and her sons came along too.
Although Douglas Tait is a horror movie actor, it doesn’t appear that he was actually in Halloween Kills. According to his Wikipedia page, he has acted as a stuntman in several films and other “scary” roles.
Even in the comments section, fans really couldn’t seem to agree where they knew Douglas Tait from.
Many fans left positive notes on the post, while others demanded answers about the future of 1000-Lb. Sisters. However, some fans even left incredibly rude comments about Amy’s weight.
Bodies grow and change over the years and Amy did just have another baby over the summer. Some fans seemed concerned that Amy was straying from her health goals, but many other comments were just mean-spirited.

Amanda made an appearance in a few photos, but whatever happened to their sister Tammy? Tammy Slaton was a very important component of 1000-Lb. Sisters, but fans haven’t heard from her in quite some time. Rumor had it that she received bariatric surgery over the summer and was keeping a lower profile. Every now and then, rumors about Tammy’s death start to go around. But at the end of the day, it seems like no one really knows much about her current whereabouts.
Many fans remain hopeful that TLC will renew 1000-Lb. Sisters for another season. Fans want updates on Amy and Tammy. But until the network makes an announcement, it seems like people will just have to wait.
