Hallmark’s James Denton: His Odds On ‘Good Witch’ Future
Could Good Witch return? Back in August, there was a discussion about the Hallmark series by the top brass. Now, James Denton has thrown his own opinion on whether or not Goodies will get their wish.

James Denton Places His Odds On Good Witch Returning To Hallmark
Good Witch alum, James Denton, has recently been on the interview circuit for his recent Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Perfect Harmony, with Sherri Saum, and son Sheppard Denton.
Inevitably, he was asked about the long-running Hallmark series that was canceled just over one year ago. Speaking to TV Insider, he shared his odds of Good Witch returning in some form or another.
First, he revealed that he would not be surprised if they decided to make more, whether it be a movie or another form.
I think there’s a chance. I know [with] the popularity of the show and the circumstances under which it ended sort of abruptly that it would not surprise me if we revisit it,
Next, he made it clear that there has been nothing official that has gone down. He does not want to raise hopes that something will happen anytime soon.
Nobody’s made me an offer. There’s nothing in the works, but I think the odds are decent just because I know the network respects the franchise. It ran for 14 years between the movies and the series. So I think there’s a decent chance, but I had to say in the same breath there is nothing in the immediate works.
Lastly, he gives a revisit good odds. Denton portrayed Dr. Sam Radford, along with Catherine Bell who portrayed Cassie Nightingale. The series ran for seven seasons, as well as countless movies.
Hallmark Executives Open To Return Of Good Witch
In August, Hallmark Media CEO, Wonya Lucas, and Lisa Hamilton Daly, EVP, Programming spoke at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour. They were asked about two long-running franchises, Signed, Sealed, Delivered, and Good Witch.
Lisa Hamilton Daly stated, “We’re always interested in thinking about what we can do with our most popular IP. I can’t announce anything specific about that.”
Although she seemed to be addressing SSD, there was no other comment that indicated that there was a different answer for Good Witch.
However, it does not appear that they know what is next for either franchise.
Could Hallmark Make Halloween Movie?
Because Countdown To Christmas kicks off about two weeks before Halloween, there is very little true fall or Halloween programming.
However, many Goodies have wanted the network to make another Halloween movie satisfying the need for real autumnal programming, along with their favorite show.
