‘DWTS’: Cheryl Burke Formed A Special Friendship This Year
After several years of competing on Dancing With The Stars, Cheryl Burke has developed many friendships over the years. She’s really enjoying her partnership with weatherman Sam Champion this year, but there’s another connection that is close to her heart right now.
So who exactly did she connect with?

At the moment, Cheryl Burke and Sam Champion are putting the finishing touches on their James Bond Night routine. This Monday night, they will perform the Samba to “Los Muertos Vivos Estan” by Thomas Newman ft. Tambuco. Sam admitted that he’s struggling with an injury at the moment, but his fans hope he will pull through.
With any luck, Sam and Cheryl will make it through and be back for week four. However, The DWTS pro is really missing one of the eliminated contestants right now.
Real Housewives star Teresa Giudice and her partner Pasha Pashkov went home at the end of Elvis Night. The judges couldn’t unanimously agree, so Len Goodman’s vote ultimately sent them home. In follow-up interviews, Teresa said she saw it coming and that Len never really liked her. But even so, it seems like she managed to form a pretty strong friendship with Cheryl Burke.
After Elvis Night wrapped up, Cheryl took to social media to express how much she would miss her new friend.
“Love you @TeresaGiudice,” the Season 2 champion shared on her Instagram stories. “Enjoyed every second we interacted though our time was short. I hope that this is just the beginning of our friendship.”
Although Teresa’s time in the ballroom is over, it seems like these women have a very special bond. Audience members hope that the relationship continues to grow from here on out.
The dancer finalizes her divorce from Matthew Lawrence
As Season 31 continues, Cheryl Burke is divorcing her husband, actor Matthew Lawrence. She recently revealed that their divorce is now finalized, which is seemingly the best decision for everyone involved. One of the recent updates indicated she and Matthew were still arguing over custody of their dog, Ysa. Fans hoped they managed to settle that matter well for Ysa’s sake.
In the meantime, Cheryl has her eye on the prize. She and Sam Champion are going to give the competition everything they have and plan to bring home that Mirrorball Trophy.
