‘DWTS’ Pro Cheryl Burke Confirms Major Update In Her Divorce
By now, most of Cheryl Burke’s fans and followers know that her marriage to actor Matthew Lawrence is over. The pair formally announced their breakup earlier in the year. All summer long, they’ve been hammering out the finer details of the divorce. They’ve even argued over custody of their dog, Ysa.
No one knows for sure what happened between the two, but many fans think that Matthew might have been unfaithful to Cheryl. Either way, things are finally coming to an end. The dancer recently shared a significant update with her followers.
Cheryl Burke feels freer after the most recent update on her divorce
Cheryl Burke is an incredibly busy woman. Sometimes she forgets to give her followers personal updates. But her most recent life update provided some new information about her divorce.
“Just an update for all of you here. It’s been a minute since I’ve provided a personal update. It’s season 31 of @dancingwiththestars, my divorce is final, a lot has happened,” Cheryl captioned her Instagram post. She went on to say that it’s been a very challenging year for her, marred by many obstacles. However, there have also been a lot of opportunities for personal growth.
“I’ve put in a lot of work on myself and I have new truths that I wasn’t aware of. I’m personally so proud of the person I see in the mirror today. Am I where I want to be? No. But I do know that I will forever be a work in progress for as long as I live,” she continued. “I’m grateful for the woman I have become, my family, friends, followers, fans, and coworkers for holding my hand through all of the ups and downs. I’ve always said and still believe that dancing has saved my life and has been my rock and backbone through it all. Sending you all so much love and light. 🤍”
Several of Cheryl’s co-stars including Lindsay Arnold and Daniella Karagach left uplifting words for their friend in the comments.
“Love you and am proud of you. Your vulnerability is inspiring. We are always a work in progress and that is a beautiful thing ❤️” Sharna Burgess added.
The Dancing With The Stars pro keeps moving forward
Right now, Cheryl Burke is laser-focused on bringing home the Mirrorball Trophy this year. She and Sam Champion are hard at work in the ballroom and ready to show off their next routine. This week, the pair will perform the Samba to “Los Muertos Vivos Estan” by Thomas Newman ft. Tambuco. Sam is dealing with an injury right now, but he hopes he will be able to pull through and perform on Monday.
