‘DWTS’ Val Chmerkovskiy Talks Rehearsing With Gabby Windey
Gabby Windey won over fans and the hearts of many men on her season of The Bachelorette. Now, she’s winning over Val Chmerkovskiy on Dancing With The Stars. Her partner has only had nice things to say about her as she follows in the footsteps of Bachelorettes before her.
Both Kaitlyn Bristowe and Hannah Brown won the mirror ball trophy so she has a bit of pressure to do well. Val also revealed Gabby called him a short king as they joke around about their height difference. He said that part was an adjustment for him because he likes to be bigger than his dance partner. It’s something he has gotten used to.
While she struck out on finding love on The Bachelor with Clayton Echard, she got another chance. Along with co-bachelorette Rachel Recchia, she got to look for her true love among men that were there for her.
What Does Val Chmerkovskiy Avoid With Gabby Windey?
According to US Weekly Val said Gabby Windey is easy to work with. He said she can take criticism and run with it. Additionally, Val noted he tries not to be a jerk as much as possible. He also added she is easy to teach and he is only as good as his partner. Val admitted jerk moments happen and sometimes he’s not his best, but she’s understanding.
He said the only challenge they’ve had truly was the schedule. When she was wrapping up The Bachelorette they missed a couple of days and that challenged him to play catch up. That said, he said she is focused on the competition, which makes him excited for what’s to come. Val said Gabby has the same patience with him he asks of her teaching dancing. The dancer has won the competition twice before and fans think the two of them have a really good chance of winning this time.
Val Admits To Being Superstitious
Val said Gabby has been wonderful and that, “Eastern Europeans are very superstitious.” He noted if there is something good in their lives, they knock on wood and whisper blessings to keep it going. He said, “she’s loved by a lot of people. She can dance.” He also credits their success to being able to communicate with each other.
Gabby Windey is killing it on DWTS and in her love life. She won The Bachelorette when she came out with a fiancée. After her second dance with Val and a great performance, Erich Schwer was waiting to kiss her, as seen above. Read more about Gabby and Erich here. What do you think of Gabby’s performance so far?
