‘Sister Wives’ Brown Family Hit With Tragic Loss
Sister Wives Season 17 has been a roller coaster of emotions so far. The season premiered with Robyn Brown getting emotional over the changing family dynamics. However, now that the latest season is three episodes in, fans saw the family experience a tragic loss. Meri Brown, Kody Brown’s first wife lost someone dear to her.
Meri Brown’s Mother Bonnie Passes Away From Heart Attack
As the family struggled to come to terms with the Brown family patriarch’s COVID rules, Meri had to rush to the hospital. But, it wasn’t something that has happened to her, but her mother, Bonnie. She had been admitted to the hospital a few days back and the doctors realized that she was experiencing a prolonged heart attack.

However, Meri had to rush to the hospital after the doctors informed her that her mother had passed away. In her confessional, the 51-year-old said, “It’s not something I’m ready for. She’s only 76.”
Sister Wives Meri Brown Grapples With Emotions
As she made her way to the hospital, fans could feel how emotional she was as she drove to the hospital which was just an hour away. She further confessed, “I don’t even know how to do this. This is just so unexpected and so quick. This is not supposed to happen this way.”
“I don’t know what to do at this point. I don’t know what the rest of my life’s going to look like. There’s just a lot I have to figure out because she’s just always been there,” she concluded.

Kody also shared a few words for her late mother-in-law. He said, “Bonnie was my first mother-in-law. I think I feel in love with her first, you know? She’s just the sweetest lady.”
Even Robyn Brown paid tribute to the departed soul and remembered, “Bonnie always treated me like I knew her forever. Every time I was around her it was a sweet experience. She always made me feel welcome.”

Christine Brown, who is no longer a part of the plural marriage, shared how Bonnie how helped her reconcile with her mother. She admitted, “After my mom left our church, people didn’t know what to do with her. I didn’t know what to do with her. Bonnie just always pushed me to reconcile with my mom, always. And that’s just Bonnie, to the core.”
Meri Shares A Emotional Tribute For Her Mother On IG
As per ET Online, Bonnie, who was 76 years old, passed away on March 26, 2021. However, given TLC’s filming schedule and the time it takes during the post-production phase, fans got to see the emotional episode more than a year after the tragedy struck. As a tribute to her mother, Meri shared a sweet picture with her mother on Instagram with a long statement reminiscing the past.

what’s tragic is the fact that kody didn’t go with meri.
“Here’s the Thing”, as Kody always says, he’s a self-centered schmuck.
Schmuck is a understatement for Kody, he continues to evolve to more of a complete moron the reason the families falling apart. He and Robin deserve one another and maybe they can find a younger subject that’s not as smart as the other wives, I’d be proud NOT to be married to him. And he’d hold his breath till I help support him.
I feel really sad for Meri and her family (not sister wives) on the passing of her mom.
Her mom actually passed away last season, spring 2021! They film the new season’s a year in advance.
Oh my goodness. Started to watch show in the beginning due to curiosity of situation .What was motivation, etc. Got hooked until
Reality set in. Kody has recently made it clear that he no longer wants intimacy with wife 1,2 and three. Gee do you think this has something to with them no longer being able to bear children. This saddled with statements that he never loved or was attracted to some or all. Sounds like he was ONLY interested in a brood herd. Robyn better watch out. She’s next. He needs to be neutered. I wonder what all the kids thinks about his revelations regarding their mothers. I feel the most sorry for me. I got suckered into watching this sad story.
