Wheel of Fortune Season 40 already had a shaky start. The new season premiered just a week ago and it’s garnering controversy. It all started with the new puzzle board, which had fans in a fit of rage. Now some are threatening to boycott the game show. Read on to learn more.

Does the new puzzle board annoy fans?

As TV Shows Ace previously reported, fans aren’t happy with the new puzzle board. Ahead of the Season 40 premiere of Wheel of Fortune, the show teased the new puzzle board on its official social media accounts. Host Pat Sajak, his daughter Maggie, and hostess Vanna White stood in different spots in the new studio.

The camera panned over to the puzzle board, which works with laser lights. It works by lasers rather than touch. This comes after the previous puzzle board that came out in 1997 and worked via touchscreen, which was a novel concept then.

However, Wheel of Fortune fans doesn’t like the latest one. They think the glaring lasers are annoying. Some claim it reminds them of the neon menus at fast food chains. Others think it would be a better concept for flat-screen TVs.

Host Pat Sajak slammed over viral photo

A new photo of Pat Sajak surfaced on social media this past weekend. It went viral on Twitter, igniting a firestorm among Wheel of Fortune fans. The television personality posed next to Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene and conservative reporter Bryan Glenn.

Fans were upset that the show used the phrase without learning about its origins. Others blamed Sajak for allowing it to happen.
