The 35-year-old actor landed the role of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in Netflix’s upcoming true crime drama, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.
American Horror Story mastermind Ryan Murphy wrote the series along with Ian Brennan and David McMillan. True crime fans are excited to see how these creative minds bring the story of Jeffrey Dahmer to life. Over the past several years, Netflix has been doing its best to keep subscribers entertained by delivering new, original content. True crime fanatics have gone nuts for the platform’s original documentaries and true crime dramas. Now, the streaming platform will tackle the story of Jeffrey Dahmer, starring Evan Peters.
However, fans shouldn’t expect another docuseries. It appears as if this is going to be a dramatized account of true events. But even so, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is expected to be a thrill ride that will keep viewers engaged through the power of excellent storytelling.
“You can have all the backstory you want, but at the end of the day we’re not making a documentary,” Evan Peters told Variety back in 2021. “It’s more about maintaining the idea and the through line of why you’re telling the story and always having that as your guiding light.”
