‘Jeopardy!’ Daily Highlights & Spoilers: Thursday, September 15
If you missed Thursday, September 15th, 2022’s episode of Jeopardy!, the daily highlights video is now available on YouTube. Just under four minutes long, the video gives fans a quick rundown of what happened in today’s episode. Did Luigi de Guzman contain his reign with a fifth win or has a new winner been crowned?
Jeopardy! Daily Highlights: Thursday, September 15th
In addition to returning champ Luigi de Guzman, Thursday, September 15th’s episode of Jeopardy! featured Gilad Avrahami and Annabel Osburn. Annabel Osburn revealed that she believed it was Lady Gaga and her knowledge of the singer as a huge fan that allowed her to be on the show. Turns out, there were multiple questions about Lady Gaga on the Anytime Test she took. The contestant showed that her knowledge extended beyond Lady Gaga as she dominated a column about musicians.
While the viewers at home seriously question his wagering strategy, Luigi de Guzman ended up snagging his fifth win. Moreover, Luigi wasn’t shy about taking to Twitter to defend his gameplay and why he made some of the choices he made.
He explained: “There’s been a lot of talk apparently about my big wager at the last Daily Double. The truth is, I was feeling pretty confident int he category and I thought I would give it a shot. When I got the clue, I could not stop smiling. I am a Virginian, after all.”
Re: Final Jeopardy. I thought this was going to be a question about college basketball…but I had no idea what they were looking for. My mind fell back to NJIT as an at-large mid-major bid from years ago and I thought they had a Scottish nickname…

Viewers at home react to today’s episode
There wasn’t a lot of love for Ken Jennings or Luigi de Guzman following Wednesday’s episode. As TvShowsAce previously reported, the host has been accused of playing favorites when it comes to Luigi. Viewers pointed out that Luigi clearly got an answer wrong, but Jennings allowed him to correct himself. Some fans have even taken to Twitter to accuse the game of being rigged because of the favoritism toward the current champ.
On Twitter, some viewers continue to question of Luigi is that great of a player. Viewers note he has a pretty odd strategy with his wagers when there were options that would have guaranteed he win the game.
Does anyone else find jeopardy champion, Luigi’s, betting strategy a bit odd? $14,000 lead on the last daily double, could have guaranteed the win, and bets $6,000? I don’t get it.

In response to the YouTube video of the daily highlights, many fans were quick to congratulate Luigi on his fifth win. With his fifth win under his belt, Luigi also snagged a spot in the 2023 Tournament of Champions. Moreover, fans noted he’s the first player to bank over $100K since Eric Ahasic.
