‘The Talk’ Sheryl Underwood Has New Look For Season 13

The Talk host Sheryl Underwood has a new look for Season 13. She showed off her dramatic weight loss on the daytime talk show. The Talk officially returned on Monday, September 12. Each of the co-hosts had something new to share. Sheryl returned with Jerry O’Connell, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, and Akbar Gbajabiamila.

However, it was Sheryl who was starting a conversation among fans. Some of them took to Twitter to rave about her new look. They noticed that the 58-year-old looked happier than ever. Sheryl danced with her co-hosts to their new theme song. They also took part in a behind-the-scenes photo, in which they posed together.

Sheryl Underwood almost considered gastric bypass

In an interview with People, Sheryl Underwood opened up about her 90-pound weight loss. She admitted that she almost considered gastric bypass surgery. The comedian managed to lose weight in the past year and a half without it. Sherly was motivated after her doctor told her that she was hovering between 230 and 250 pounds.

The 5’2″ star called it a “wake-up call.” Sheryl took Metamucil to clear out her system and help with her digestive tract. However, she explored the idea of weight loss surgery. She was desperate and she considered many options.

“I was going to have surgery,” Sheryl Underwood tearfully told People. “And when you do it, you have to go through the psychiatrist. You have to go through the dietician. But because I’ve worked with the dietician, I lost weight. I didn’t lose a significant amount, but I lost to a point where the insurance was not going to pay for it.”

Her doctor informed gave her an injection called Wegovy that she took weekly to regulate her hunger. This allowed her to get a jump start on her weight loss journey. However, the injections were only one part of the plan. Sheryl Underwood knew she had to make changes to her lifestyle.
