Hallmark Ending 2022 With Two New Mysteries: Details
Unfortunately, 2022 was not a great year for Sleuthers. By the time Countdown To Christmas begins, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will have only premiered five mysteries the entire season. That is nearly a quarter of what they premiered in 2021, which were all filmed during the challenges of a worldwide pandemic.
On February 6, HMM premiered Cut, Color, Murder, starring Julie Gonzalo (Supergirl, Jingle Bell Bride), and Ryan McPartlin (Chuck, The Holiday Fix-Up).
On February 20, HMM premiered what turned out to be the final Aurora Teagarden Mystery, Haunted By Murder.
Next, on April 13, HMM premiered Curious Caterer: Dying For Chocolate, starring Andrew W. Walker (Christmas Tree Lane, The 27-Hour-Day), and Nikki DeLoach (Five More Minutes, Sweet Autumn).
Since then, there has not been a new mystery. However, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries are premiering two new mysteries before they exchange pumpkins and ghosts for Christmas trees and Santa Claus.
Francesca Quinn, PI Stars Mallory Jansen, & Dylan Bruce
Sleuthers will finally get a new mystery on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Francesca Quinn, PI. This movie stars Mallory Jansen (The Big Leap, Her Pen Pal), and Dylan Bruce (The Christmas Promise, Orphan Black).
According to the Hallmark synopsis, this mystery has all sorts of twists and turns.
“Private investigator Francesca “Frankie” Quinn is hired to find her fiancé’s killer. She must work with her detective ex, Wyn, and trust the person who broke them up and ruined their lives.”
The premiere of Francesca Quinn, PI is on Sunday, September 25, at 9 p.m., Eastern.
Hunter King & Rhiannon Fish Starring In New Series
According to ET, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has another new Signature Mystery series called Nikki & Nora: Sister Sleuths. This series stars Hunter King (Young and the Restless, Hidden Gems), and Rhiannon Fish (A Splash Of Love, Sweet As Pie).
Although IMDb does not yet have any information on this new mystery, this is what ET shared.
Fraternal twins Nikki (King) and Nora (Fish) are forced back into each other’s lives when they inherit a detective agency. As they solve a murder, they realize their differences may be their greatest advantage.
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries are premiering Nikki & Nora: Sister Sleuths on Sunday, October 2, at 9 p.m., Eastern.
Hunter King & Rhiannon Fish Hinted At Hallmark Mystery
Hallmark has been keeping all of its mystery news quiet. However, back on July 22, King and Fish made an Instagram video where the two were trying to make some sort of promo about a mystery. Since both had just filmed new movies with the network, it seemed very probable that this was for Hallmark.
In the video, their biggest issue is that they giggled through many takes. Talk about sisterly chemistry! This pairing is a winner and Sleuthers will certainly be turning in on October 2 to watch the final mystery of 2022.
