What Is Hallmark Mahogany’s To Her, With Love About?

According to the official synopsis, Kayla (Marshall) has lost her substitute job at an elite, private high school, earlier than she expected. Therefore, she heads back to her hometown of Stoneville, North Carolina. However, she is not going to be sitting around.

That is because, on her first day back, he mother (Howell) sets up a job interview at her high school alma mater. Kayla balks at this interference. She has a bigger dream. Kayla wants to get into a competitive teaching program in London. But, she has a lot of doubts in her head and is hesitant to apply.

When she arrives at the school, she runs into her high school best friend Tanya (Smith), who is a teacher there. At the interview, she is instantly offered a job, and because of her friend Tanya, Kayla accepts.

At first, Kayla struggles to connect with her students. Thankfully, Jordan (Truvillion), a jack-of-all-trades teacher who is devoted to supporting underserved students, steps in to help. Kayla is reluctant to accept his input at first. But, she soon takes his advice and tries some new ways of getting her students to open up their artistic passions. Soon, her students begin to flourish.

Unfortunately, the school is cutting its budgets and Kayla learns the school may be cutting the art department. Now, she and Jordan work together to set up a fundraising showcase. Her longtime friend Shanice Wilson-Knox also helps.

Working closely together, Kayla and Jordan discover they share a passion for teaching, service, and Sidney Poitier movies.

But, Kayla soon has to figure out what is next. She is offered an incredible teaching position. Unfortunately, it will take her from Jordan and her hometown.

Now, Kayla has to determine what she needs in her life to be truly happy.

  1. Well I want to thank you for taking a clean channel and bring the trash in. Bad storylines, clothing way to tight and cleavage showing. Why oh why did Hallmark stoop to the minority and ruin clean shows. Not everyone is interested in sex, guns and violence.
