‘Sister Wives’ Did Kody Brown Break Ground On Coyote Pass Yet?

Kody Brown and his family moved to Flagstaff, Arizona back in 2018. Although the move was long and chaotic, the family eventually opted to purchase a beautiful piece of property on Coyote Pass. The family decided to buy other homes or rent and live there while they waited to build houses out on Coyote Pass.

But it’s 2022 now. During Season 16, it was clear that the Browns still hadn’t broken ground yet and they were still living elsewhere around Flagstaff. So how do things stand today?

Kody Brown wanted to move his family to a more rural landscape

Many Sister Wives fans felt confused when Kody Brown chose to uproot his family and move them out of Las Vegas. He said that he felt it would be better for the family to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city. But the family didn’t really seem to have a plan — and it definitely ended up coming back to bite them.

Sister Wives Season 17 comes to TLC on September 11. The show is pretty far behind real life, but fans will get a chance to see the drama between Kody and Christine boil and explode. But will viewers get to see any kind of construction on the Coyote Pass property?

Fans shouldn’t get their hopes up. In Touch Weekly reports that as of August 9, 2022, there are no construction permits filed for Coyote Pass in Flagstaff, Arizona. The Browns can’t build on the property without filing the proper paperwork, so it doesn’t seem as if they are planning to build at this point in time.

For a while, Janelle Brown lived in an RV out on the property. That’s no longer the case. Kody and Robyn bought a house together, while Meri has her own place. Christine reportedly sold her piece of land to Kody and went back to Utah. They officially split up last November, so there wasn’t any reason for her to keep her plot.

At this point, many fans are starting to wonder if the Browns will ever break ground out on Coyote Pass.

The family patriarch dreams of one big house

Kody Brown tried to push the idea of living in one big house on Coyote Pass on his wives. Janelle was all for the idea, but Christine was firmly against it. In Season 16, Christine actually said she wanted to move back to Utah, but neither Kody nor her sister wives were on board with the plan. She ultimately chose to leave the family and go back to Utah on her own.

Now that Christine is out of the picture, it’s possible that Kody will get his one giant house after all. He only has an intimate relationship with Robyn these days, but he’s still spiritually married to Meri and Janelle. He might still have a desire to have his entire family under one roof.
