The official Dragon Ball Super Instagram has released new information about some additional characters and their respective voice actors for the upcoming SUPER HERO film. The movie will be released on August 19th and massive hype has already been brewing among fans.

Who are the new characters and what are their roles in the film? Who are the voice actors and what else have they done?

Dragon Ball Super: The New Characters

Dragon Ball Super’s Instagram page lists these new characters as, “Gamma 1,” “Gamma 2,” “Dr. Hedo,” “Magenta,” and “Carmine.” Gamma 1 will be voiced by Aleks Le, Gamma 2 by Zeno Robinson, Dr. Hedo by Zach Aguilar, Magenta by Charles Martinet, and Carmine by Jason Marnocha.

According to the official English SUPER HERO movie site, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 are Red Ribbon Army Androids created by Dr. Hedo. The Red Ribbon Army was, in fact, destroyed by Goku in the original Dragon Ball series. However, certain individuals that carry on the army’s mission and spirit have created these two in order to make the “ultimate androids.” They call themselves “super heroes” (hence the name of the film), yet their first appearance will immediately show them attacking Gohan and Piccolo.

Comicbook.com states that Dr. Hedo is a new mad scientist type that is following in the original footsteps of Dr. Gero from Dragon Ball. Though not much is known about Dr. Hedo yet, he seems quite different from Dr. Gero, as he has a preference for nice suits, as opposed to turning himself into an Android.

Magenta is another member of the Red Ribbon Army and is said to be the “face” of the organization. It also looks like he may be pulling the strings and doing Dr. Hedo’s dirty work by going after Gohan and Piccolo.

As for what is known about Carmine, he is another member of the Red Ribbon Army, but he seems to be more involved with technical gadgets. A scan was released on Twitter by DBSChronicles revealing some character information and interesting-looking weaponry.
