Mama June’s Sister ‘Doe Doe’ Going Under The Knife?
After the COVID-19 blunder by Mama June at her daughter, Alana’s sixteenth birthday, it seems like Doe Doe is now focused more on her health. This was all documented on this season of Road to Redemption. June was an uninvited guest but in her short time there, she unknowingly exposed the whole family. Only four people got sick but obviously, it got those like June’s sister, Doe Doe to start reevaluating everything. The reality star is all set to undergo a drastic body transformation that will help her lead a healthy life.
Mama June’s Sister To Get A Weight Loss Procedure
In exclusive pictures obtained by RadarOnline.com, the 57-year-old recently visited the weight loss medic Dr. Stephen Batash at his center, which is based in Rego Park, New York. Losing weight for some patients without any medical intervention can be difficult. This is why patients struggling with weight loss start their journey with endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty. So, Doe Doe has opted for the same.

It is a non-surgical and non-invasive procedure that reduces and reshapes the patient’s stomach size by 70 to 80 percent. This causes the patient to eat way less than they used to, thus inducing faster weight loss. Moreover, Suture Sculpt ESG is an outpatient procedure that doesn’t require any hospital stay & patients can return home in a few hours.
Doe Doe’s Daughter Amber Joins The Weight Loss Bandwagon
The recovery time for this process is much shorter as compared to other forms of bariatric surgery, such as a gastric sleeve. So, patients can get back to their normal routine way faster. As per the reality star’s manager Gina Rodriguez, her daughter Amber also wishes to get the procedure done.
According to Rodriguez, “They both plan on having skin removal and tummy tucks once they lose all their weight. Amber lost her father this year, and her and Doe Doe put on a lot more weight because of it. His death made them both decide to take care of their health.”
Mama June Skeptical Of Daughter Alana’s Weight Loss Procedure
It seems like the entire family is on a health spree as Mama June’s daughter Alana, AKA Honey Boo Boo, recently talked about getting a similar procedure done on her. However, her mother has qualms about Alana going under the knife seeing as she isn’t 18 yet.

The Toddlers & Tiaras alum is 16 now, but the surgery is scheduled in late August when she will be 17. She wishes to have the procedure done by the very same physician as that of aunt Doe Doe. The estimated cost of the surgery would be around $13,000. She will have the surgery alongside her boyfriend, Dralin Carswell.
Although Mama June doesn’t approve of this surgery and suggests that she should wait one more year, her daughter is strong-headed about the decision. June also mentioned that she wishes to talk to Alana’s current guardian Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Shanon, about the surgery. She also added that she was bothered by the fact that Pumpkin didn’t inform her of Alana’s plans to get the surgery.
